A former Florida lawyer who made headlines when his pants caught on fire during an arson trial in 2017 was recently charged with cocaine possession. 32-year-old Stephen Gutierrez was arrested on Monday night after being pulled over for driving with a broken headlight. During the traffic stop, a Miami-Dade police officer noticed a bulge in Gutierrez’s pocket, which he thought was a knife. It turned out to be a cylinder container with a bag of white powder inside. As the cop inspected the substance, Gutierrez blurted out, “That’s cocaine,” the report alleged. Gutierrez’s arrest came after his license to practice law was revoked in October, Florida Bar records show. The ex-attorney gained nationwide notoriety four years ago when he represented a man accused of torching his own car for the insurance money. During the March 2017 trial, Gutierrez was arguing that the blaze may have been caused by spontaneous combustion — when his own pants erupted in flames. (https://bit.ly/3k1EMAn)

Emirati police have arrested a man for allegedly stealing a highly valuable newborn camel to give to his girlfriend for her birthday. The owners of the baby camel reported the theft from their farm earlier this month, prompting Dubai police to fruitlessly search the area. Several days later, an Emirati man called authorities to say a stray camel had wandered onto his farm some 3 kilometers (almost 2 miles) away. According to police in Dubai, when interrogated, the man’s story fell apart. He soon admitted to trespassing on his neighbor’s farm to steal a rare breed of camel for his girlfriend, settling for the newborn after failing to wrangle an adult. The man reported the stray beast when he grew worried about being caught. The police returned the camel to its owners and arrested the suspect and his girlfriend on charges of theft and making a false statement.(https://bit.ly/37ptBwv)

If you encounter a particularly rough patch of ice or snow while shoveling this winter, don’t reach for a can of gasoline like a Midland Park man did. Police and firefighters responded to the man’s home where he had set a small fire to try to melt the snow and ice. Once the fire department arrived, they called in the Bergen County Hazmat Unit, who used the Speedy Dry to sop up the gas. The man, whom police would not name, had poured about a half-gallon of gasoline on a gravelly 2-foot by 2-foot square section of his backyard. “He thought a good idea would be to dump some gasoline on and light it on fire,” police Lt. John Gibbons told NJ Advance Media. A neighbor called the police after smelling something burning around 7:35 p.m. “I don’t recall ever being dispatched to something like that,” Gibbons said. “It’s not very common, let’s put it that way.” (https://bit.ly/2OGGbAK)

Two men in Pennsylvania have been cited for hunting under the influence of a controlled substance after they got caught stalking squirrels while under the influence of marijuana. On January 27th, Warden Harold L. Cole Jr. of the Pennsylvania Game Commission Northcentral Region filed charges alleging that Douglas W. Litz and Bryan T. Poust smoked cannabis before going hunting in the fall. The Williamsport men admitted to smoking before hunting on September 17th, when they were stopped by Warden Geril Schoonmaker in State Game Lands 252. While patrolling the area around 10:30 in the morning, Schoonmaker spotted a minivan parked on Ridge Road and observed the smell of weed wafting from it, per the complaint. A glass pipe, neon orange clothing, and shotgun shells were also visible in the vehicle registered to Poust. 32-year-old Litz and 34-year-old Poust have both been charged with one ungraded misdemeanor count of hunt/fur take under influence of a controlled substance, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, and two summary counts of commission regulations violated. A British man faces up to six years in prison for breaking Singapore’s quarantine rules to meet up with his then-fiancée in the same hotel. 52-year-old Nigel Skea left his room at the five-star Ritz-Carlton hotel on three occasions to meet his now-wife, 39-year-old Agatha Maghesh Eyamala in another room. On one of the occasions, a mask-less Skea climbed an emergency stairwell to enter a room that Eyamala had booked at the hotel in downtown Marina Bay. He then spent nine hours with Eyamala, who was not under quarantine. Most travelers are required to stay in an assigned hotel room or at home to quarantine for 14 days after arriving to Singapore. Skea pleaded guilty Monday to breaking the country’s coronavirus quarantine, while Eyamala pleaded guilty to aiding her partner in the hotel rendezvous. The couple will be sentenced February 26th in court, where they each face up to six years in jail and a fine of 10,000 Singapore dollars ($7,558). (https://bit.ly/3u3pijT)

A Romeo put a steel nut on his manhood to make it bigger for a Valentine’s Day date – but was rushed to hospital after it swelled dangerously for two days. Eye-watering pictures show doctors slicing off the DIY willy enlarger with a power tool and pliers in Bangkok, Thailand. The sheepish patient told doctors he had been excited about seeing a woman for a date on Sunday and "just wanted to impress her". He had heard that rings could be used to enlarge and strengthen a penis by forcing blood into the glans. So, he pulled a 3 cm-wide steel nut from his toolbox and slipped it over his member using baby oil. However, the following day his penis had swelled painfully and he found he was unable to remove the ring. He called emergency services on Saturday afternoon, having had the nut jammed around the base of his penis since Friday morning. Doctors said his misadventure had not left any permanent damage and his penis should function normally after a few weeks' rest. (https://bit.ly/3poACna)

Two maids in Singapore have been accused of mixing their bodily fluids into food — including one household servant who allegedly thought doing so would make her bosses more agreeable. 43-year-old Canares Rowena Ola was hauled into a Singapore court recently on a criminal mischief charge after she allegedly mixed her urine and menstrual blood into a rice dish and served it. It’s unclear who she gave the food to or why she contaminated it. The woman’s lawyer has denied the allegations. In an unrelated case, a different maid is accused used similar tactics when it came to cooking for the family she worked for. The woman, identified only as Diana, allegedly thought mixing her bodily fluids into the family’s rice and water would keep them from rebuking her over the quality of her work. She was also accused of stealing from the family.(https://bit.ly/37CMZoY)

A British Royal Navy officer has been filming online “porn to order” with her seaman lover from inside a secret nuclear base. Lieutenant Claire Jenkins – known as Cally Taylor on OnlyFans – has posted explicit material from inside the Faslane nuclear submarine HQ at Her Majesty’s Naval Base Clyde in Scotland. Many of the X-rated online clips include the 29-year-old’s naval lover, Leading Seaman Liam Doddington, who is at the same base. A Navy source told the UK paper that “The commanders can’t believe it. There could be all kinds of security risks involved.” Confronted by her bosses, Jenkins reportedly confessed — but continued to post more X-rated content over the weekend, including a video with the caption, “He really used me.” The Sun’s Navy source insisted that Jenkins had been “open and honest with her bosses that this is what she does in her spare time.” A Royal Navy spokesman confirmed that “an investigation is under way.” (https://bit.ly/36TKzTk)

A man who was spotted pleasuring himself inside a Kia in a Walmart parking lot told Florida cops that he was “lonely” because his former girlfriend was in Colorado. Police were summoned to a Walmart in Vero Beach by a woman who reported that a man who was parked next to her was masturbating while behind the wheel of a car that had its driver’s side window open. Upon arriving at the parking lot, cops stopped a Kia with out-of-state plates and asked the driver to exit the vehicle. When 26-year-old Kyle Weiss stepped out of his car, there was little doubt he was the suspect being sought: “I noticed that he had an obvious erection protruding in his shorts,” a cop reported. Weiss also claimed that he did not realize that he “could be seen playing with himself.” He was arrested for exposure of sexual organs and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors. He was eventually released the county jail after posting $1,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned on March 23rd. (https://bit.ly/3bpK1pH)

A Russian influencer model is getting heat for posing naked on top of an endangered elephant for an Instagram video. According to The Sun, 22-year-old Russian influencer model Alesya Kafelnikova posted the short video to Instagram on February 13th, showcasing herself in the nude and posed atop a Sumatran elephant. “Poor elephant. Aren’t you ashamed to lie naked on an elephant? This is a living creature. Money overshadows everything,” one Instagram follower said. Another called the photoshoot a “violation” against the animal. A charity group said that the Russian influencer model’s use of the elephant in her photo shoot was a “tragic trivialization.” According to The Daily Star, the species of elephant the model posed on is not native to Bali, where she currently lives. A number of elephants in Asia are kept captive to serve the region’s tourism industry. The magazine reported the population of the species is estimated to have shrunk by 70% over the past decade due to habitat loss.(https://bit.ly/3dm27M3)

A Michigan couple will have to pay their 42-year-old son back for destroying his massive pornography stash, a federal judge ruled in a case that included the filing of a 43-page inventory of the man’s porn/sex toy collection. In an opinion issued last month, Judge Paul Maloney granted a summary judgment in favor of David Werking, who last year sued his parents Paul and Beth, both of whom are 68. Maloney will issue an opinion on damages after the parties make further submissions to the court. An inventory filed in the federal case lists 428 VHS tapes, 1,605 DVDs, and dozens of sex toys that Werking alleged were disposed of by his parents. After state prosecutors declined to pursue charges against his parents, Werking filed a U.S. District Court lawsuit against them, claiming that the twelve boxes of porn and sex toys were worth about $25,000. He went to an emergency room when he couldn’t get the toothbrush out.

A Florida high school teacher is being investigated over allegations that he watched porn during a virtual class — after a former student posted a clip of the lesson online. 53-year-old Michael Braeseke, who teaches social sciences at South Broward High in Hollywood, appeared to be sitting at a desk looking down as a woman apparently screamed in ecstasy — saying, “Oh my God!” — during a virtual class on Friday. A former student at the school posted the footage of Braeseke on Monday from his Global Perspectives & Research class, which is part of its college-level Cambridge International program at the school. District officials launched a probe into the video on Tuesday. Here’s one way to pass time while in family quarantine…a 64-year-old woman and her 43-year-old son are facing criminal charges after they were allegedly caught having sex on the couch in their Massachusetts home. Cheryl Lavoie and her son Tony have been charged with incest in connection with a late-night encounter in May inside a residence in Fitchburg. During an arraignment, both Lavoies pleaded not guilty to the felony count. As first reported by the Sentinel & Enterprise, Tony Lavoie’s wife told police that she “walked in on her husband...having sex with his mother” on the living room couch. The woman said that both Lavoies were naked and that Cheryl was atop her son. During police questioning the Lavoies reportedly admitted to the “consensual” sexual encounter, with both claiming it was their first time together. “I don’t want to talk about it, I made a mistake and I am embarrassed enough as it is,” Tony Lavoie told police. In completely bizarre news, Danish network DR has launched a new children’s series about a man with a penis so enormous, he can barely control it. The new series, John Dillermand, follows a man who puts his record-setting penis to good use in rescue operations, money-making schemes, and cooking demonstrations in order to teach kids the importance of overcoming hardship and celebrating diverse bodies. Because, you know, apparently watching a TV show about a man with a giant schlong is the best way to get those lessons across. As “The Guardian” reports, the DR’s new series has provoked quite a bit of debate. However, the network has disputed this characterization of its animated series. In a statement provided to Danish outlet Ekstra Bladet, and translated into English, network executive insisted that John Dillerman is not “harmful in any way.” (https://dcdr.me/2Xj2j5g)

Authorities say that a Louisiana woman was arrested after mailing private nude images of a male acquaintance to more than two dozen people. 32-year-old Sarah Pharis allegedly drove to Texas to send the photos, along with “degrading letters” about her victim, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office said Friday. “A number of different people contacted him and said, ‘Hey, we received something through the mail and it has photographs of you,'” Chief Deputy Stitch Guillory stated. The victim, who wasn’t publicly identified, told the outlet that Pharis sent out hundreds of pictures of him in lewd acts, along with “strongly-worded letters defaming him.” Pharis was first taken into custody on December 28th, when investigators first learned of the letters, and released on $75,000 bond that same day. She was arrested again last Thursday after investigators found out that the other person’s private photos were also included in the letters. Pharis, who is out on $15,000 bond in the second arrest, faces 180 counts of non-consensual disclosure of a private image. (https://bit.ly/35VHl11)

An Australian man threw his used vibrator at the manager of an adult store after complaining it got too hot during use. 29-year-old Benjamin Thomas Pellicaan had gone to the store in Queensland to demand that the X-rated toy be checked after it got “extremely hot” after “only ten minutes of use.” But when the manager called him back and said the sex toy was working just fine, Pellicaan flew into a rage — calling her a “c**t” and threatening to “sort her out.” The sexually frustrated man showed up at the store and flung the device in her direction. It bounced off a cabinet, hitting her in the leg. She then pushed a police panic button, which sent Pellicaan into further rage, though he eventually left the store. When cops showed up at his home to arrest him, he verbally abused a female officer. He pleaded guilty to threatening violence, committing public nuisance, obstructing police, and two counts of using a carriage service to cause offense. Late last week, a judge sentenced him to four months behind bars. https://bit.ly/3j2INnL

The South Carolina couple busted in early January for allegedly having sex on Myrtle Beach’s landmark Ferris wheel has been arrested once again on similar public lewdness charges. Eric and Lori Harmon, both 36, are now accused of performing sex acts in a supermarket parking lot and on a bench near a playground. According to the police, on multiple occasions over the past few months, they allegedly filmed their public liaisons to share to pornographic websites. Eric Harmon faces two new counts of indecent exposure – and Lori Harmon faces another four. They were once again released on bond, this time for $2,500 each. They had already been released for $18,000 and $14,000, respectively, just a few weeks ago. The Harmons were also arrested on Januart 16th after police said they found video of the couple having sex in a glass compartment on the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel. And they face similar charges from another incident in a community pool. (https://fxn.ws/39GCfYN)

He took this attorney-client privilege a little too far… According to the state Supreme Court, a Florida lawyer has been disbarred for having sex with inmates in jail and recording the encounters for a pornographic film. Authorities said that 58-year-old Andrew Spark would solicit sex from incarcerated women and offer to put money in their commissary accounts if they let him use the footage for a porn video he called “Girls in Jail.” The high court found that Spark “abused” his attorney-client privilege to gain access to private jail rooms in two separate detention facilities “for his own prurient and/or financial interests,” the panel said in a recent disciplinary notice shared on The Florida Bar’s website.(https://bit.ly/39HwwC0)

A lawyer has gone viral in Peru after he stripped off and had sex while still on-camera during a live-streamed court case. Héctor Cipriano Paredes Robles had been taking part in a virtual hearing involving a feared local gang, Los Z de Chanchamayo, when he shocked the judge and other viewers Thursday with his X-rated display. According to video that went viral on Twitter, Robles completely stripped off, then started kissing an equally naked woman who soon straddled him. The outraged judge, John Chachua Torres, immediately called a halt to proceedings — ripping Robles for having “disrespected the dignity” of the court, Todo Noticias said. “This lawyer has lacked the honor and dignity of the profession,” the judge said. The Junín Bar Association later also stressed that it “strongly rejects” the “obscene acts” as it called for a swift investigation into his future in law. Robles — who has yet to publicly address the sex scandal — was replaced in the case, and faces a probe by Peru’s Public Ministry as well as the bar association. (https://bit.ly/36sSQgM)

A married teacher accused of having sex with a 15-year-old student three times reportedly told a UK court that at 5-feet tall, she was “too short” for it to have been possible. Mom of three Kandice Barber, 35, is accused of straddling the boy in her vehicle, having sex in a field, and performing a sex act on him in the woods in 2018. But her lawyer said she was so “tiny,” she only came up to the teen’s shoulder, making their alleged romps physically impossible. The student initially denied the affair, thinking he might have impregnated her — but later confessed after topless Snapchat photos she sent him began spreading around Princes Risborough secondary school in Buckinghamshire. Barber has always denied the alleged liaisons and claimed the intimate images were hacked from her phone. On Tuesday, the jury was told the woman had already been convicted of messaging the boy a video of her performing a sex act on her bed. But her lawyer, Nadia Chbat, told Amersham Law Courts the alleged romps never took place.(https://bit.ly/39U18iC)

Gregory Bombard claims police busted him and towed his car during a 2018 traffic stop only because the trooper claimed he gave him the middle finger and called him an a-hole. “Vermonters who want to protest the actions of police through words or gestures have a constitutionally protected right to do so,” Bombard’s lawyer said in a press release. He added, “This abuse of power by a Vermont state trooper is a clear example of just how overpoliced our communities are.” Bombard denied he gave the trooper the middle finger before he was pulled over — but did do so after the traffic stop. He also mouthed off at the trooper, “saying something to the effect of ‘a–hole’ and ‘f–k you,’” the complaint said. Riggen cited Bombard for disorderly conduct and obstructing traffic. Both charges were dismissed and then Bombard filed the civil lawsuit, claiming false arrest, illegal seizure, and violations of his right to free speech. (https://bit.ly/3qdZwHo)

A Florida Man arrested yesterday for indecent exposure told police that he was “protesting for civil rights by showing his penis to traffic.” Cops charge that 23-year-old Riley James Cushman was spotted alongside a roadway in Palm Harbor with “his pants down to his knees holding his penis while facing traffic in a vulgar manner.” Upon spotting a sheriff’s deputy around 3:30 p.m., Cushman pulled up his pants and began walking away. When subsequently confronted by the cop, Cushman reportedly explained that he was “protesting for civil rights by showing his penis to traffic, but was now finished and wanted to go home.” Cushman’s display resulted in his arrest for exposure of sexual organs, a misdemeanor. He was booked into the county jail, where he is being held in lieu of $150 bond. Cushman has pleaded not guilty to the indecency charge.(https://bit.ly/3jAYtyR)

I'M POSTING THIS EARLIER SO YOU CAN CHIME IN TOO!

THIS WEEK'S DEAR JOHN LETTER!

Dear John,

I have an issue with one of my roommates. Three of us signed a one year lease about six months ago. A few months later one of my roommates invited her boyfriend to live with us. There's only three of us are on the lease. I'm trying to decide what the right thing to do is right now. Her name is on the lease, his is not. He pays half of her share of the rent, so he is paying to live here, but I think that's the wrong amount. If there are three of us, we each pay 33%. If there are four we should each pay 25%. Right now we have two paying 33% and two paying a little over 16%, so they literally pay half as much as we do. I spoke with my other room mate. We can't really afford the rent on our own. That would be 50% each and we just can't make that work. We are looking for a different place at the end of this lease, but that's almost six months from now. Do I bite my lip and leave well enough alone? Do I ask them to adjust the amount we all pay? Do I ask the boyfriend to move? I'm a bit stuck here. Any help would be wonderful.

A Lane County man stole guns and other tactical gear from an FBI agent’s car, but got busted trying to sell one of the firearms to undercover officers. 29-year-old Michael Stuart Fancher allegedly broke into a special agent’s car while it was parked outside of the agent’s home, taking numerous items including a rifle, pistol, magazines, ammunition, body armor, tactical gear, and personal belongings. Surveillance video from “multiple neighbors” showed a male carrying items away from the car, making numerous trips. Another person, believed to be a female, was also involved. Authorities identified Fancher as a suspect and, on February 8th, undercover agents communicated with him “about buying the rifle from him in exchange for cash and two pistols.” Fancher allegedly told law enforcement that he had recently bought one pound of methamphetamine too. Fancher, who has previous convictions for possession of a stolen vehicle and unauthorized use of a vehicle, now faces charges of felon in possession of a firearm and theft of government property.(https://bit.ly/3dj6xmV)

The back seat of your car may tell women everything they need to know about you before they ever get in. According to a survey, women often interpret a cluttered back seat as evidence that a man has certain personality traits, including disorganization and irresponsibility. The back seat crud test is said to work equally well for men and women. In both cases a sloppy car could mean a sloppy lifestyle, according to those who know.

The world’s fastest roller coaster will soon take thrill seekers for a three-minute ride around a massive track while achieving unprecedented speeds of 155 miles per hour. Called Falcon’s Flight, the amusement ride is under development at the Six Flags Qiddiya in the Middle East, which is set to open in Saudi Arabia in 2023. The roller coaster is planned to have a 2.5 mile-long track that takes riders around curves, loops and a vertical cliff into a 525-foot deep valley. Six Flags Quiddiya will be home to 28 attractions — but Falcon’s Flight will be the centerpiece of the park.

WEIRD NEWS: Brought to you by WeirdGiftOfTheDay.com

A Dutchman has gone viral for skating on a frozen canal while half-naked — and plunging in after the ice cracked. In a video seen almost seven million times on Twitter by Tuesday morning, the unidentified man wore just tight black shorts as he glided across the Keizersgracht canal in Amsterdam. His feet suddenly sank under a section of cracked ice, turning him into a flying Dutchman as he shot forward, crashing through the rest face-first. Soon, it wasn’t just the ice cracking up but also those watching him, with the clip posted Sunday capturing his audience whooping and laughing as he raised his head to show that he was safe. After initially looking dazed, the skater joked about his “face-plant” — and gave a bow after he was finally pulled to safety on a thicker chunk of ice by another skater. A slew of accidents recently led Prime Minister Mark Rutte to caution his nation, while conceding that “skating on natural ice makes the heart of many Dutch people beat faster.” (https://bit.ly/3u0VaFY)

MOMENT OF DUH: Brought to you by RedCrossBlood.org

A Delta Airlines passenger disrupted a trip to Boston by trying to open a cabin door and assaulting a flight attendant while the plane was in the air. The unidentified man allegedly tried to open the main cabin door on the Sunday afternoon flight from Atlanta. “I saw the stewardess in first class, it seemed like she jumped back. I learned she had been hit,” another passenger, Mark French, told the outlet. “I stuck my head up and pulled off my headphones, and she was yelling, saying, ‘He’s trying to open the door.’” French said two officers wearing badges then tried to intervene. French added that they were able to eventually handcuff the man with zip ties. “Basically, the remainder of the flight, he was just screaming, ‘Let me out of here, this isn’t my home,’” he said. The airline confirmed that law enforcement met the flight when it landed at Logan Airport “due to a disruptive customer on board.” Massachusetts State Police said they were aware of an alleged assault of a flight attendant, but that the FBI was handling the case.
