A psychologist says that as adults, it might be a good idea to take up one of your childhood hobbies again. Why? To escape stress, for one. Dr. Ramani Durvasula, a clinical psychologist and emerita professor of psychology at California State University, Los Angeles, feels that if an activity once brought you comfort as a child, it may still have the same calming effect in adulthood. She said that reconnecting with childhood hobbies can be valuable for people at any stage in life, whether it’s a matter of filling the extra free time that comes with retirement, coping with a job loss — or if you’re simply looking for something fun to do. And a recent study found that adults who are “playful” are more positive about the future, and more resilient in the face of challenges. The Dr. also points out that as you regain confidence with hands-on activities such as crafts, coloring or painting, you may feel encouraged to take creative risks in other areas of your life.

Netflix is getting back in the ring. Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano will square off against each other in a rematch — part of a historic trilogy between the two – on July 11, live on the streamer. This comes after Taylor defeated Serrano as part of Netflix’s first-ever boxing card, just before the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight last year. Taylor and Serrano will headline an all-women’s boxing at Madison Square Garden. The duo’s previous Netflix fight was called the most-watched professional women’s sports event in US, history, with 74 million live viewers globally.
Millie Bobby Brown isn’t really Millie Bobby Brown. The actress revealed her real name is Millie ‘Bonnie’ Brown during an interview with BuzzFeed UK published Thursday. While talking to her “Electric State” co-star Chris Pratt, Brown explained that she changed her middle name from Bonnie to Bobby for…’you-know-whats’ “and giggles” when she started acting. She continued, saying: “I’ve never told anyone that. You heard it here first!” As for where ‘Bobby’ came from, Brown was seemingly was paying tribute to her father, Robert “Bobby” Brown. And that’s not the only name change the “Stranger Things” star has made. Last August, she confirmed she had adopted her husband Jake Bongiovi‘s last name, after they tied the knot earlier in the year.
DID YA KNOW!?

The oldest human being in the world is Sister Inah Canabarro Lucas, a 116-year-old nun from Brazil.
The news broke late last year, but now it’s real: “Reese’s is set to release a crazy new peanut butter and jelly peanut butter cup in 2025”, according to foodie and influencer “SnachWith Zach” (who supplied pics of the packaging). The new PB&J cup will come in 2 flavors: strawberry and grape. No release date has been announced yet, but they should hit stores sometime next month. Oh, and BTW, Zach also says that Reese’s is going to introduce a new red velvet peanut butter cup sometime this year. LINK: https://tinyurl.com/ysxnuf52

WEIRD NEWS
Ever tried wearing your Apple Watch on your…ankle? Many people are these days. I’m not kidding – hear me out. According to a New York Times report, a growing number of people are doing so, with 5 main reasons cited. The most mundane of these are people with tiny wrists who find the watch is too loose during workouts. OK. Fair enough. Some people also claim they get more accurate step counts when wearing it on their ankle — when walking or running. Step-counting relies on the swinging motion of your arm, which can be less consistent than the motion of your feet – especially if you’re pushing a stroller or shopping cart. Others who have wrist tattoos have reported that heart-rate readings are either unavailable or unreliable when the sensor is blocked – or partly blocked by the ink. Some with skin conditions say they have found the Apple Watch uncomfortable, but feel wearing it on the less sensitive skin around their ankles feels OK. And lastly, some medical professionals aren’t permitted to wear watches due to hygiene rules in hospitals, so they say they have taken to wearing it around an ankle to track the often ‘crazy’ number of steps they walk during a shift. And BTW, a surprisingly common issue reported by those who wear their smartwatch on an ankle is others mistaking it for the type of ankle monitor that some convicted criminals or suspects awaiting trial are required to wear by law.
