Your breakfast might not only taste good – it could also help your career and love life, too! A survey of 2,000 people (in the US) found that 65% of regular breakfast eaters had received a promotion at work, compared with just 38% of those who skipped breakfast. Breakfast eaters were also more likely to be married, optimistic, energetic and satisfied with life and relationships. Of course, the survey shows an association, not proof that breakfast causes success…but maybe there’s something to that “most important meal” thing after all!

Legendary comedian Richard Pryor may soon be getting the film treatment. Latigo Films and Inaugural Entertainment have acquired rights to “Something We Said: Richard Pryor, a Notorious Word and Me”. That’s a recently published memoir from Pryor’s daughter, Elizabeth Stordeur Pryor. It chronicles her decades-long journey of coming to know her father – navigating the complicated terrain between a man who stood alone at the pinnacle of American comedy and the father he struggled to be. One of history’s most influential stand-ups, Pryor is known for his provocative, socially conscious comedy.
Amazon MGM Studios has released the trailer for “The Thomas Crown Affair.” which will debut on March 5, 2027. The third take on the story of art thief ‘Thomas Crown’ is the latest directorial effort from Michael B. Jordan, who also stars, and puts a new spin on the title character’s exploits. As Crown, Jordan faces off against a former FBI agent hunting him heist by heist. Meanwhile, an insidious supervillain lurks, threatening to take him down. Robert Carradine’s family is suing the University of California for wrongful death and elder abuse, alleging that failures at UCLA’s facility contributed to his death. The filing states that the actor “walked into UCLA’s locked psychiatric unit ‘feeling relieved to be hospitalized’ and hoped that ‘additional inpatient treatment would’ reduce his anxiety.” They allege that UCLA allowed him access to a belt within his locked psychiatric unit, which can be used to “cause self-harm or hanging.” Carradine attempted suicide 19 hours later, eventually dying from the resulting brain injury 5 weeks later in Feb., 2026.

Millions of marigold flowers are thrown away every year, but researchers say they could become the next great superfood. Proteins extracted from discarded marigolds are heat-stable, have antioxidant properties, and can help blend oil and water—qualities that make them useful in processed foods. Following a study, scientists say turning this floral waste into plant-based protein could reduce food waste and provide a more sustainable source of protein, although more testing is needed before it appears in grocery products.
Scientists say they’ve identified a theoretical limit to how long humans can live. Even if we eliminated every other cause of aging and developed the ultimate anti-aging treatment, random DNA mutations would continue building up in our cells. Eventually, they could impair the body’s ability to function, making living forever biologically impossible, despite whatever medical advancements might be developed. Computer simulations suggest this could put the maximum human lifespan somewhere between 150 and 190 years — roughly twice today’s average lifespan.

A Florida tattoo artist has added another bizarre achievement to his résumé. 38-year-old Funky Matas has set a Guinness World Record for the highest-altitude skydive while performing a self-tattoo. Jumping from 15,000 feet at roughly 120mph (193 km/h), he managed to tattoo the word “fly” onto his hand during the freefall. He even had the tattoo machine duct-taped to his hand to keep it from blowing away. He says his biggest challenge was finishing his tattoo before the ink froze in the frigid air. He previously set the record for having the most signatures tattooed on the body, with 273, including those of Tom Brady, Bad Bunny and Martha Stewart.

A new survey suggests your first name may shape first impressions more than you think. In a poll of 2,000 adults (in the US), researchers found 18% admit they judge people based on their first name alone. Gen Z was the most likely to make snap judgments, at 29%, followed by millennials at 21%. As you might expect, in light of recent trends, “Karen” topped the list of names with the strongest negative associations, ahead of Chad, Donald, John and Damien. The survey also found 42% don’t feel their name reflects who they are, while one in 5 wish they could change it. Jessica was found to be the most popular replacement, followed by Amira, Caroline, Lisa and Natalie.
