Men are putting their best legs forward this summer, with businessmen and office workers ditching stuffy trousers for shorts as temperatures soar. The trend is gaining acceptance, with 68% of UK workers now saying shorts are acceptable office attire — nearly double the figure from 2016. But not everyone is thrilled. In Japan, some women have accused male colleagues of “sunehara,” or “leg hair harassment.” That’s their way of saying they don’t want to have to stare at hairy legs all day. In many parts of the world, through, including in North America, white-collar men are embracing the breezier dress code, with fashion influencers suggesting longer, smarter styles such as Bermuda shorts for a respectable summer look.

It looks like Ryan Reynolds will be putting on the ‘Deadpool’ suit once again. He confirmed during an appearance at Fanatics Fest 2026 that another Deadpool movie is coming, which would follow the box office success of 2024’s “Deadpool & Wolverine”. Reynolds didn’t give any details on whether the film will be another solo Deadpool installment or more of an ensemble film, with his chaotic antihero becoming more of a supporting player. Last year, it was reported that Reynolds was exploring ideas for another movie in the franchise, which would feature ‘X-Men’ characters.
Ed Harris doesn’t sound satisfied with his role on “Dutton Ranch.” At Monday’s premiere of Apple TV’s “The Dink,” Harris told Variety that he felt “misled” about the importance of his role as ‘Everett McKinney’, a good-humored veterinarian, in the “Yellowstone” spinoff, and that halfway through filming Season 1, he was telling his team to “get me the (heck) out of here.” Harris said (quote): “I was talked to quite a bit about what the season was, and what my character was going to do, and that I was one of the 4 main characters. And that wasn’t really the case.” He added that he is “being told” his character “will have a little bit more to do” in Season 2.
Tom Brady and Logan Paul may have the perfect place to settle their beef … the squared circle at an upcoming WWE event. There are ongoing conversations between the 7-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback and World Wrestling Entertainment — meaning Brady could soon find himself staring down his WWE Superstar rival in the ring. The 2 have been trading shots for months, starting with Brady’s appearance on Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast earlier this year. Things cooled off for a bit, but over the weekend, things escalated when Brady slapped Paul at Fanatics Fest in NYC, then flipped him off during the World Cup Final on Sunday.

A trip to the bank just got a lot more exciting – for dogs, at least. A TD Bank branch in Vancouver has installed a special “Automatic Treat Machine” as part of a Canadian pilot program. Instead of dispensing cash, the “ATM” rewards canine customers with…free treats, when they step onto a paw-print pad. There’s no card, no PIN, and no deposits – just snacks. The dog-friendly ATM even features a screen with videos designed for pups. It’s one of only 3 such machines in Canada. Why give out free treats for puppers? The bank says the machine is “to show some love to the 4-legged friends who often accompany clients on their banking excursions.” The idea first launched in Philadelphia before expanding to Toronto in 2024, and now Vancouver. McDonald’s is now targeting baseball fans who like to bring their own food to the ballpark, with a new “stadium-friendly” bag. Last week, the chain handed out the limited-edition McValue Pack bags – with McDonald’s food to fill them – to fans attending MLB games in Boston, Chicago and Seattle. The clear bags are designed to make it easier for security to see what you’re carrying, and they contain Chicken McNuggets, McChicken, and McDouble meal. The chain describes it as a “ballpark hack.” One fan tested the idea at Chicago’s Wrigley Field and walked right through security with 2 bags of McDonald’s. Besides skipping concession lines, the bags also provide a handy place to stash the trash afterward.

Japan has a new way to beat the heat – and it’s basically a vending machine that you climb inside. The Do Hiemon Box, now being sold in Japan, is a portable cooling booth designed for overheated workers. The interior stays at 15°C (59°F) while 5°C (41°F) air blasts directly at your head, neck, shoulders and back. A 5 to 10-minute session is intended to provide quick relief from heat stress without wasting the energy needed to cool an entire room. The 293kg (646 pound) unit costs about $9,300, and at under 7 feet tall, it can be wheeled into construction sites, factories and outdoor events. Psychologist Kirsty Leah from mental health support platform SupportRoom says that while warm weather can make us happier, sweltering heat is linked to greater irritability. Here are some tips on keeping your cool – literally and figuratively…
☞ Make your life easier: Avoid the high afternoon heat, stay hydrated, and invest in lighter sheets or a fan. Remember, getting enough sleep goes a long way in “keeping your cool”.
☞ Be patient: You might be ready to snap at others, but remember that if you are feeling it, they are, too, so try to be extra patient and lower your expectations of people until things are cooler.
