Women really do score higher than men in emotional intelligence. A review of studies involving more than 600,000 people found women have a slight overall advantage, especially when recognizing and managing other people’s feelings. Emotional skill has been linked to better job performance, stress coping, and conflict management. Researchers say the findings don’t explain why women have the edge.

Talk about a friendly ex! Tobey Maguire didn’t just attend his ex-wife’s wedding to a billionaire heir, he actually officiated the whole thing! The “Spider-Man” star had a front-row seat as celebrity jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer tied the knot with Geoff Ogunlesi at the luxurious Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Hawaii. Photos show Maguire front and center as his ex-wife says “I do” to another man. Tobey and Jennifer, married in 2007, and separated in 2016, with Jennifer filing for divorce in October 2020. They seem to still be friendly after finalizing their divorce last month.
The “Star Wars” saga’s epic duel between ‘Darth Vader’ and ‘Luke Skywalker’ continues – at the auction house. The lightsaber wielded by Vader in his battles with Skywalker in “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi” (1983) will go up for bid Nov. 12 as part of “The Ultimate Star Wars Auction”, to be held by Heritage Auctions. And expect an out-of-this-world price. At a previous auction in Sept. 2025, that exact lightsaber sold for $3.65 million. That figure has since been topped by the lightsaber used by Mark Hamill in “The Empire Strikes Back,” which fetched $3.75 million in July. Do weight-loss drugs also slow aging? Early research suggests GLP-1 medications like Ozempic and Wegovy may do more than help people lose weight and control blood sugar. Studies link them to improved heart, kidney and liver health, reduced inflammation…and potentially slower biological aging. In one study, people taking tirzepatide showed signs of aging more slowly, with some biological clocks suggesting improvements. Another study found semaglutide reduced the biological age of several organs by up to 4 years. And mice given semaglutide lived longer than those receiving a placebo. However, researchers stress the findings are preliminary, and it’s unclear how much of the anti-aging benefit comes from weight loss itself. And they don’t know whether weight-loss drugs could also slow aging in people who are normal weight and otherwise healthy.

The Circuit of the Americas racetrack in Texas celebrated its upcoming Formula 1 event by unveiling a sculpture of a cowboy hat that was confirmed to be the world's largest. COTA teamed up with Austin-based clothing brand Tecovas to create the massive scale sculpture of Tecovas' Cattleman Cowboy Hat, which measures 43 feet wide, 47 feet long and 17 feet tall. A Guinness World Records adjudicator examined the sculpture, officially titled the "World's Largest Cowboy Hat," on Monday and confirmed it to be the world's largest fiberglass sculpture of a hat.
