As summer holiday season approaches, new research has revealed exactly how much time we waste while on vacation – trying to relax. A OnePoll survey found that for almost half of us (47%), it takes a full 2-3 days to truly relax and unwind on holiday. And you can understand that, because vacation often involves travel, which can be stressful, and adjusting to your surroundings can take some time as well. But in the survey, 39% of people also said that they aren’t able to relax abroad because they’re still distracted by their lives at home. 30% worry about the work that they’ve left behind and 29% are concerned about the work waiting for them when they return. In addition, 11% of us suffer from pet separation anxiety while we’re supposed to be enjoying ourselves. While 30% of travelers said they are able to switch into holiday mode once they’ve arrived at their destination, for others, it happens sooner, with 16% of people saying they feel it once they put on their “out of office” notifications, and for 12%, it happens when they finish packing.

Baby boys “talk” more in their first year than girls, according to a comprehensive new study. These early vocalizations include sounds like squeals, vowel-like utterances, growls, and short pseudo-word sounds such as “ba” and “aga.” While some infants naturally vocalize more than others, on average, boys express about 10% more sounds in their first year than girls, a finding that contradicts the long-held belief that girls have a consistent advantage over boys in language development. By the end of the 2nd year, however, the University of Memphis study found that girls surpass boys, making 7% more sounds.

Yes, Al Pacino is expecting a baby at the age of 83, but what we don’t know is his relationship status with mom-to-be, Noor Alfallah. While he and the 29-year-old producer were photographed together as recently as April, Showbiz411 claimes that the pair “have no relationship” and are not currently together. A source told the gossip site that Pacino “actually thought their relationship was over a long time ago” and has had “lawyers … working on this for months.” While Pacino’s rep has confirmed the news, neither Pacino nor Alfallah has commented on their upcoming arrival, and “The Godfather” star is even allegedly requesting a prenatal DNA test.
Despite the controversy swirling around “The Flash” star Ezra Miller, director Andy Muschietti says he’d bring the troubled actor back if Warner moves forward with a sequel to the DC superhero flick. On a podcast, Muschietti said: “I don’t think there’s anyone that can play that character as well as they did. The other depictions of the character are great, but this particular vision of the character, they just excelled in doing it…it feels like a character that was made for them.” Miller, who uses they/them pronouns, has been arrested multiple times.
Ezra Miller may be back as ‘The Flash’ soon enough, because a script for a would-be sequel has already been written. “The Flash 2” is signed, sealed and delivered — and on standby — courtesy of “Aquaman” screenwriter David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick — and now Warner is just waiting to green-light it — depending on how the first “Flash” film fares at the box office, upon its June 16 release. By the way, the rollout for the speedster superhero movie is be anything but typical. Star Ezra Miller has done no press — but will make a low-profile appearance at the LA premiere on June 12, only posing for pics, rather than doing interviews. A source said the troubled star wants “the conversation to be about the movie and not about Ezra”.
HBO has released the final trailer for “The Idol”, the brand-new dark drama series starring Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye and Lily-Rose Depp. The show’s official logline reads: “After a nervous breakdown derailed Jocelyn’s (Depp) last tour, she’s determined to claim her…status as the greatest…pop star in America. Her passions are reignited by Tedros (Tesfaye), a nightclub impresario with a sordid past.” The Idol also stars Dan Levy, Eli Roth, Joy Randolph, Hank Azaria and others, and debuts June 5. A new study has found that millennials may be the least religious generation in history.
If you have a job requiring lots of physical work, you’re probably envious of the heroes of the Marvel Universe, who are not only super-strong, they never seem to suffer from joint pain or sore back muscles. But now, a European robotics company has made it possible for you to enjoy “quote-on-quote” super-strength. German Bionic has developed the Cray X, the first connected power suit for use in industry. The company says the “exoskeletons” help people lift and carry heavy objects by amplifying their movements and thus, significantly reducing the risk of accidents by protecting the lower back from excessive strain. The wearable, waterproof device fits on like a backpack and is powered by a 40-volt battery. It offsets about 30kg (66lbs.) of weight per lifting movement. It’s made from ultra-light carbon fiber, and the company says it uses A.I. to adapt to a worker’s movements, and also alerts them to poor posture and fatigue.

Your driver’s license is not the place for a sexy selfie. The Georgia Department of Drivers’ Services took to Facebook Tuesday to remind people to keep their clothes on while taking photos for a digital driver’s license or ID. The department wrote: “Please take pictures with your clothes on when submitting them for your Digital Driver’s License and IDs”. • They say hard work never killed anybody, but did you ever know anyone who rested to death?
• Why is it called ‘after dark’ when it’s really ‘after light’?
