A Florida Man who was being investigated for causing a drunken disturbance yesterday at a public library was arrested after he gave cops a bogus social security number and a fake name--Jason Bourne. Cops say that 45-year-old Jonathan Chapman was asked several times Tuesday afternoon to leave the Pinellas Park library, but he refused. Chapman, who was reportedly intoxicated and smelled of alcohol, was subsequently asked to identify himself by a patrolman. Instead of providing his actual name, Chapman claimed to be Jason Bourne, the title character in a series of Robert Ludlum thrillers that were adapted for film, and which starred Matt Damon. The Bourne identity, however, was fabricated. Cops eventually identified Chapman and charged him with resisting an officer, a misdemeanor, for providing the phony name and invalid social security number. (https://bit.ly/2VneuyD)

There Was a Third Apple Founder
While the duo of Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak have become tech industry legends, there was another guy in the garage when the company was founded: Ronald Wayne, who had a 10 percent stake in the company at the time, as “adult supervision” of the project (he was 42 at the time). He ended up selling his stake for $800—it would have been worth around $35 billion today.

Cops say a Florida teenager is accused of striking his stepsister in the head with a thrown potato after she failed to pay him enough attention. 18-year-old Tyler Scott Parker was busted Sunday afternoon on a domestic battery charge following a spud tossing incident at his family’s Tampa-area residence. According to a criminal complaint, Parker began yelling at the victim and threatened to throw a potato at her if she “did not stop ignoring him.” After Parker’s stepsister “replied to the defendant,” he allegedly threw the potato, which struck his kin in the head. Parker was subsequently arrested on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge. The victim does not appear to have been injured in the potato attack. (https://bit.ly/2Gszxqe)

A 66-year-old licensed Bay Area lawyer was arrested Sunday after he allegedly taped a camera to his shoe and then “moved his shoe so that the camera was under a female juvenile’s dress” at an Apple Store in Walnut Creek, California. Jacques Bloxham, who is a personal injury attorney, was reportedly confronted by the girl’s father and fled the store. Officers said they found various cameras and recording devices in the suspect’s car in addition to the one attached to his shoe. Bloxham was arrested around 3:00 p.m. and booked into Contra Costa County Jail on suspicion of using a camera to secretly record the undergarments of another person, along with annoying or molesting a child under 18. He later posted bail. (https://nyp.st/2VpUxqW)

Some neighborhood arguments get more out of hand than others. The spat in New Port Richey, Florida over the weekend resulted in bloodshed. One man needed six staples to close a wound on the back of his head and another man got locked up once deputies from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office arrived. 51-year-old Gerald Lee Thornton Jr. is charged with aggravated battery after attacking neighbors with a frying pan and a lamp pole, deputies told the Bradenton Herald. His arrest record indicates he’s being held at the Land O’Lakes Jail on a $10,000 bond. Deputies said one neighbor told them Thornton chased him with a frying pan, eventually catching up and striking him in the left side with it. That man managed to wrestle the cookware away, and even landed enough punches to the suspect’s head to knock him down. Investigators said when Thornton got back up, he used a lamp pole to open a gash on the back of another neighbor’s head. (https://bit.ly/2Vehldr)

Authorities say a Florida man ignited a homemade pipe bomb that flew into his neighbor's yard and shared a video of the outcome on Facebook. The Volusia County Sheriff's Office said in a Sunday news release 25-year-old Christopher Green is facing a charge of making a destructive device. Nobody was injured but houses in the Orange City, Florida neighborhood were evacuated. Green told deputies he used stump remover mixed with sugar to make smoke bombs. He posted the Facebook video before the arrest, writing he didn't expect that thrust. The neighbor heard a loud hissing noise when she saw the metal pipe flying into her yard Saturday. Green later wrote on Facebook “I went to jail for this. Could be facing up to 10 years. Hope they take it easy.”

A Pennsylvania man who was high on bath salts when he opened fire on fireflies that he mistook for “green laser lights” has been sentenced to a maximum of six years in prison following a plea deal with prosecutors. 31-year-old Jesse Shields was arrested last June after he and his girlfriend broke into a Clinton County residence. Claiming to have been attacked, Shields said “there was something on his skin that was burning” and asked the homeowner if he could use the shower. After disarming Shields, the homeowner allowed the intruder to use the bathroom. When cops arrived at the residence, Shields and 23-year-old Katherine McCloskey were taken into custody. McCloskey told police that she and Shields “started seeing a lot of green lights that are similar to fireflies, but they were not fire flies because they were blinking twice.” Shields, she added, grabbed her father’s handgun and “fired the gun to scare whoever was messing with them.” (https://bit.ly/2va2Okc)

World War I Boosted the Bra Market
The market for bras jumped in 1917, during the First World War, when the U.S. War Industries Board asked American women to forgo their corsets (which required significant amounts of metal to construct) and switch to the less-demanding bra. The ladies did their part for the cause, freeing up 28,000 tons of metal and changing female fashion from that moment forward.

Coaches believe Little League baseball parks should be one of the places thieves consider off limits. But a little after midnight last Wednesday somebody broke into the concession stand at the Wheelersburg Little League in Ohio. Coach Jon Estep said, “I thought this would've been one of the places that should've been hands off. It’s very frustrating.” More than $10,000 worth of food and property were stolen -- everything from a PA system to crock pots to Big League Chew -- even first aid kits. Deputies say they identified the suspects, Burt and Jessica Copley, thanks to security video and DNA evidence. They added that they found the couple and eight truckloads of stolen property at their home in Franklin Furnace on Saturday. Among the stolen items from the concession stand were 1,200 hot dogs. For the Little League, it was little consolation they got the stolen food back. The president of the league says they had to throw it all out because of health concerns. (https://bit.ly/2GlPXjZ)

A self-proclaimed “saint” was arrested in a coastal Florida town Sunday after screaming obscenities and threatening to unleash an army of turtles. Authorities received multiple calls about a man who was disturbing the peace at several businesses in Indialantic, a town about 75 miles southeast of Orlando. The suspect, later identified as 61-year-old Thomas Devaney Lane, was calling himself “the saint” and allegedly said his army of turtles would “destroy everyone.” Lane accompanied a responding officer back to police headquarters where he pounded on the walls and glass before leaving the station. Officers later found him in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven where he allegedly cursed out customers and called 9-1-1. Lane allegedly told the 9-1-1 operator that the responding officer “needed to leave now or you will all be sorry you f---ed with the saint.” Police said Lane refused to exit his vehicle and was taken out by force. During that ordeal, Lane allegedly continued to shout obscenities while warning passers-by about an impending army of turtles. (https://fxn.ws/2URiwzj)
