New research says the reason it seems mosquitos are especially attracted to you could be your…smelly armpits. That’s why some people are so delicious to the annoying critters — while others get off scot-free, according to scientists. Mosquitos are drawn to body odor, also known as BO — and mosquitoes can find us from 350 feet away once they get a whiff. In the study, BO was a more attractive bait than CO2, which is a known cue for mosquitoes.

Owners of new Ford vehicles will be able to tune in to AM radio in their cars, trucks and SUVs after all. CEO Jim Farley announced Tuesday that the automaker is reversing its plan to remove AM radio from vehicles, both electric and gasoline operated, in 2024. On social media, he wrote: “After speaking with policy leaders about the importance of AM broadcast radio as a part of the emergency alert system, we’ve decided to include it on all 2024 Ford & Lincoln vehicles. Big Brother’s motto has always been “expect the unexpected,” and there are 2 surprises coming for viewers of the show. CBS has announced there will be a completely new cast, and a delayed premiere date. Unlike the past 2 seasons of the show, which premiered the first week of July, season 25 will not premiere until almost a full month later, on August 2. CBS also revealed: “In a special 90-minute episode, Big Brother premieres its milestone 25th season as a group of all-new Houseguests moves into the Big Brother House.” Many had assumed that the landmark 25th season of the show would feature returning “all-stars”.

Vin Diesel says spinoffs of the “Fast & Furious” franchise are already in the works, including a female-led installment. Speaking at the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project Block Party, he revealed that he started developing the female spinoff “in 2017 with other spinoffs, and the sooner I deliver the finale, the sooner I can launch all the spinoffs.” “Fast X” is supposedly the first of a 2-part ending, but in a recent interview, he teased that the ending might be spread out over 3 films.

He’s back! Arnold Schwarzenegger has accepted the position of Netflix’s CAO — Chief Action Officer. That’s why I’ve accepted a big new job as Netflix’s Chief Action Officer.”

Ubiquitous, an Influencer marketing agency, is hoping this will assist it in gauging emerging trends online. To apply for the TikTok Watching job, subscribe to the company’s YouTube channel, and send a message, telling them why you’re the best person for the job. A new study may give evidence that an area of the brain can experience a wave of activity for some people right before they die. The study from the University of Michigan recorded activity in the area of the brain associated with consciousness, in 4 comatose patients who died from cardiac arrest while in hospital and under EEG monitoring. After the patients were removed from life support (once it was determined they were beyond medical help), 2 of the 4 showed an increased heart rate and a surge of gamma wave activity, which is considered the fastest brain activity and associated with consciousness. What does this mean? When similar results were witnessed last year in the death of an 87-year-old man, researchers said the rhythmic brain activity could support the “life flashing before your eyes” theory.

Police say the man ended up inside Wilson’s Santa Monica home, rummaging through the house before slipping into a pair of the actor’s pjs. This Ken doll is a former WWE champion. John Cena revealed that a chance encounter with “Barbie” star and producer Margot Robbie landed him a role in the upcoming live-action film. On “Today”, Cena explained that the “happy accident” came about because he will again square off against the “Fast & Furious” family in the upcoming “Fast X”, and while filming, he pitched himself to Robbie, who was shooting Barbie right across the street. That resulted in his being cast as a merman.

John Cena admitted he was “shortsighted and selfish” for starting a feud with Dwayne Johnson a decade ago, when they faced off against one another as WWE stars. On the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, Cena said the pair – who both have gone on to become huge Hollywood stars, sharing screen credits in this year’s “Fast X” – “always have been good, except for one little patch where I really messed up.” That’s in reference to the time in 2011 when Johnson – already a movie star — returned to WWE, and Cena took it as a provocation and opportunity to “call him out” for coming back, and challenge him to fight. The “Trainwreck” actor explained he “got selfish, and me…not having any concept of growth or someone else’s perspective” caused him to start the feud. He says their friendship “now is in a really good place.”

They can definitely pay their bills, bills, bills. Jay-Z and Beyoncé bought their enormous new Malibu CA compound entirely in cash, it has been reported. The power couple dropped $200 million on the estate, which officially made it the most expensive home ever purchased in the state. It is also said to be the second most expensive in the history of US real estate, after a NewYork City apartment that sold for $238 million. Beyoncé has a net worth of $450 million, according to Forbes, while Jay-Z has $2.5 billion to his name. And of course, Queen Bey also just kicked off her “Renaissance” tour, which is expected to rake in more than $1 billion.

You may have heard that Harrison Ford gets de-aged for a flashback sequence in the new “Indiana Jones” movie. Last week, “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” officially premiered at Cannes, and though the resulting standing ovation moved its star to tears, some criticized Hollywood’s choice to use de-aging technology, rather than simply cast younger actors for flashback scenes. But Ford defended the flick’s use of it at a press conference, saying: “I know that that is my face. It’s not a kind of Photoshop magic — that’s what I looked like 35 years ago. Because Lucasfilm has every frame of film that we’ve made together over all of these years. He continued, “It’s just a trick unless it’s supported by a story, and it sticks out like a sore thumb if it’s not honest, it’s not real… I mean, emotionally real. And so, I think it was used very skillfully.”

According to a study, American women have the biggest breasts.

With the “Barbie” movie set to become one of this summer’s blockbusters, people in New York are getting an early taste of ‘Barbie World’ with the opening of “Malibu Barbie Café”, and it’s as pink as you are imagining right now. The pop-up restaurant is decked out like a girly West Coast beach bungalow where there are pink palm trees, Instagram backgrounds and Madonna’s ‘Material Girl’ blasting on the speakers. Not a detail has been overlooked, with the original Malibu Barbie — first released in 1971 — there to greet you at the front door. Guests of the 2-story, 120-seat restaurant can build a sandcastle in a real sandpit, step into the life-sized Malibu Barbie box for an Instagram shot or jump on a surfboard and pretend to ride the waves. And the food isn’t plastic, it’s fantastic, by the sound of things. The menu includes the ‘Live Your Dream’ grilled cheese, and kids will love sampling the ‘Pacific Paradise Rainbow’ pancakes. Several menu items are a vibrant pink that’s perfectly on theme. Oh, and Barbie girls or boys who are old enough can sip on the ‘Think Pink Margarita’, the ‘French “71”’ (in honor of the year Malibu Barbie was first released) and the ‘Beach Mojito’, which has edible pink glitter. Malibu Barbie Café is open through Sept. 15. LINK: https://tinyurl.com/t3z6nfw4

More than half of employees say they’re stressed at work every day, according to a poll. With that in mind, it’s good to know there is an effective, scientifically proven tool we can use in our daily lives to combat that feeling. And that is…Microbreaks! Research consistently shows that if we can build time to reset and recharge, we can interrupt the sort of cumulative stress that leads to burnout. A recent North Carolina State University study found that employees’ energy increased after just a 5-minute break. And so did the likelihood they would set and achieve work goals. Another study, in the Journal of Applied Psychology, found that call center workers who took micro-breaks experienced a mood boost that translated into better sales performance. And even short breaks between meetings have been found to help employees stay focused and energized, stopping cumulative stress from building up and giving workers’ brains a chance to “reset.”

The average person spends more than an entire work week per year simply purchasing beverages such as coffee at the café during the workday, according to a new survey. The poll of on-site employees found it takes about 16 minutes to leave one’s desk, buy a drink and return. And with 3 such trips a week, employees end up losing about 50 working hours per year. And the money spent on beverages also adds up. At the work café, the average American buys about 2½ drinks, totaling about $16 per visit. That equals about $2,800 a year.

If it’s your thing to sleep in on the weekend in an effort at making up for sleep lost during another hectic work-week, I’ve got bad news for you: It doesn’t work. Dr. Lindsay Browning, who is a neurologist, psychologist, and sleep expert, says being sleep-deprived and then relying on the weekend to recover, may help in the short term, but in the long run, the extra rest may create a false sense of recovery. And what’s more, trying to catch up on the weekend may make things worse. She says that research has shown that it can take up to 4 days to recover one hour of lost sleep and up to 9 days to fully recover from sleep deprivation.

Watermelon: It can protect vascular function if you consume a lot of sugar, thanks to its amino acids.

Kale: Yup. It HAD to be kale. Leafy greens in general are good for you, but kale has an abundance of heart-friendly nutrients, including potassium, fiber, folate and calcium, and can lower bad cholesterol.

Oats: They also lower bad (LDL) cholesterol. Also rich in antioxidants, which helps protect from heart disease. (Until you cover it in sugar, that is…)

Avocado: Contains healthy fats which help protect the heart by maintaining levels of ‘good’ cholesterol and reducing levels of LDL cholesterol. Plus, avocados contain many nutrients which benefit the heart and cardiovascular system. (A ‘toast’ to avocados!)

Dark chocolate: You’ve heard this before. It is high in flavonoids – also found in tea, leafy vegetables and citrus fruits – which act as antioxidants and have powerful anti-inflammatory effects, and can improve blood vessel function and lower blood pressure.

According to a poll of more than 1,000, commissioned by Secure Data Recovery Services, a perhaps shocking 53% say they’ve found something incriminating or concerning while going through someone else’s device. Most commonly, that is evidence their significant other is cheating or flirting with others. Women were more likely to do the snooping (88%) in comparison to men (77%).
