How much money would you need to have for you to consider yourself “rich”? Well, apparently being a millionaire doesn’t cut it anymore. Charles Schwab’s 2023 Modern Wealth survey polled 1,000 Americans aged 21-75 about how they think about saving, spending, investing and wealth. It found that Americans now consider themselves wealthy if they have an average of $2.2 million in assets. Interestingly, many people, particularly those of younger generations, said that money alone doesn’t always equal wealth. Experiences, relationships, and career carry just as much currency to them. And nearly half of those polled said they already feel wealthy, despite having an average net worth of around $560,000.

Nine years after it was first announced, “The Flash” has finally dashed into theaters, speeding toward a #1 debut — but the DC film didn’t exactly match the lightning pace of its superhero. The Flash had a $24.5 million opening day domestically, enough to set the Ezra Miller film on pace for a #1 debut, and estimates have it set for a 4-day Juneteenth weekend take of $64 million. While “The Flash” is unlikely to match its opening projections, it’s not the only one. Disney and Pixar’s “Elemental” is looking at a debut below $30 million through Sunday, marking the lowest 3-day opening in the history of Pixar.

Linda Hamilton is joining the cast of “Stranger Things” Season 5, adding yet another icon to the cast for the Netflix series’ final season. Details on the “Terminator” actress’ role haven’t been revealed, but she joins Paul Reiser (“Aliens”) and Sean Astin (“The Goonies”) in the show that’s essentially a tribute 1980s cinema. Season 5 of the sci-fi fantasy series paused development in solidarity with the WGA writers’ strike earlier this year. Season 4 was released in two parts in 2022.

Wednesday” is adding a new Addams family member in season 2. Stars including Jenna Ortega appeared at Netflix’s global fan event Tudum over the weekend, confirming that a new character will be introduced — “but we don’t know who,” according to Tyler Galpin. Ortega has an idea as to which missing Addams she would like to see join the mix, though.: ‘Cousin Itt’. Other absent characters mentioned included ‘Grandmama’ and baby brother ‘Pubert’.

More and more teens say they’re frustrated with the number of adults on Facebook.

For decades, people worldwide (probably including your parents and grandparents) have been saying that they believe morality is declining. But new research says that’s not the case. Two psychologists examined surveys conducted in 60 countries between 1949-2019 about moral values, and found that 84% of participants said they felt morality had declined. In their own 2020 surveys, people said they thought people were less “kind, honest, nice, and good” now compared to earlier times. The researchers concluded that: “If, as people all over claim, morality has been declining steadily and precipitously for decades, then people’s reports of current morality should also have declined over the years.” They didn’t, and the researchers say this means the perception of moral decline is a cognitive illusion, or “it’s…very difficult to find any evidence that [it] has happened.”

A company in Brazil is selling what it calls the “world’s first unchewable flip-flops”. Brizza, which is marketing the product in collaboration with Pedigree, says the flip-flops are unchewable because they are made with the most bitter substance known to man…and buying a pair just may “save your dog’s life”. Dogs’ love for chewing footwear is well documented…and the company says that puts them at risk of very serious gastrointestinal problems. The unchewable flip-flops are made with something called denatonium benzoate, known as the most powerful bittering agent in the world. A single drop is enough to make an Olympic-size pool of water taste noticeably bitter, yet it is safe for consumption. It is widely used in the pet industry to discourage animals from biting and licking things they shouldn’t. LINK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQJqo_ALf9g

Rachel DeAlto, the chief dating expert at Match.com, says that when it comes to dating, you might want to ditch the idea that “opposites attract.” She says the reality is that “similarities are what you can build a foundation on”, and there are 3 values in particular that can determine whether a relationship will go long-term. Here they are:

1. Finances: They agree on how they want to spend their money.

2. Family: There is a shared vision for how they see their future family, and how they plan to care for them.

3. Lifestyle: They enjoy putting time into the same activities, like travel or exercising.
