Researchers in Japan are working on a medication that would allow people to grow a new set of teeth. They expect to start trials next year on an innovative new medicine to treat people who don’t have a full set of adult teeth due to “congenital factors” – and say it could be available for public use in 2030. They hope that one day, their tooth-regrowth medicine will be “a third choice alongside dentures and implants.” If successful, it’ll be the first drug in the world that will allow patients to regrow teeth.

According to a poll of exercisers, those who work out in the morning are more likely to identify as introverts than those who work out in the evening (31% vs. 24%) — but for some reason, they are also more likely to take selfies while working out (46% vs. 40%). The OnePoll survey also found that men are more likely to take selfies than women (48% vs. 38%). For morning exercisers, the platform of choice to post those selfies is Instagram, while evening exercisers lean toward Facebook.

Because, of COURSE it is. A documentary on Gwyneth Paltrow’s ski crash trial is on its way. Just 3 months after a jury found retired optometrist Terry Sanderson 100% at fault in the collision case, a documentary about the trial is coming to Warner Bros. Discovery UK and Ireland. The 2-part special, will debut sometime later this year. Paltrow was granted her a symbolic request of $1 in damages in the trial. Sanderson was seeking $300,000, accusing her of running into his back while skiing in 2016. He initially sought $3.1 million, claiming he sustained a “brain injury, 4 broken ribs and other serious injuries.”

Kevin Costner reportedly wants “revenge” on his estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner. A source, described as a close friend of Costner’s ex, told the Daily Mail that the “Yellowstone” actor wanted to “humiliate” Baumgartner after she filed for divorce. Quote: “This isn’t about the house, it’s about making Christine’s life a living hell for actually going through with the divorce.” The former handbag designer must vacate their Santa Barbara mansion by the end of the month after a judge reinforced the premarital agreement they both signed in 2004.

Scientists say working for a ‘bad boss’ will more than likely ruin your marriage.

If you’re the type of techie who “needs” to have the latest iPhone, you’ll want to sell your current one…like, soon. Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 15 lineup this September. Whenever Apple releases a new iPhone, trading an old one in or selling it is always a good way to make the upgrade more affordable. But when’s the best time to do it? According to figures put together by the trade-in people at SellCell, the perfect time to sell your old iPhone is between August 19-26th. If you delay, you risk potentially losing as much as 65% of the value of your old iPhone.

WEIRD NEWS: Brought to you by

A man’s attempt to rob an Atlanta nail salon last week didn’t quite go as planned. An unidentified suspect ― with his hand in a bag as if he were holding a weapon ― stormed into the Nail First salon demanding money. Despite the fact that the man shouted: “Everybody get down! Give me all your money!”, surveillance video shows he was ignored by both customers and employees. The salon owner even decided it was OK to answer the phone during the attempted robbery, and a customer casually stood up to go outside, although the suspect snatched her phone as she walked. Eventually, the humiliation was too much for the suspect, who left the salon in a silver sedan, according to police. He’s still at large. LINK:

THE LIST: Brought to you by

First of all, it’s entirely possible that this information has been rendered inaccurate by the recent opening of his latest epic adventure, “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One”. However, what better time to celebrate his career with this list of Tom Cruise’s best films of all-time (up until yesterday, at least), according to a consultation with 10 expert websites (and don’t expect to hear the word “Cocktail” once in the next couple minutes!):

1. “Top Gun” (1986): This action-packed film follows the story of talented fighter pilot ‘Maverick’, as he competes to become the best in his class at the US Navy’s elite fighter weapons school. It was a massive hit, cementing Cruise’s status as a leading man. (So why did we have to wait 36 years for a sequel?)

2. “Mission Impossible: Fallout” (2018): Nearly every “Mission Impossible” film could be called one of his best, but “Fallout”, the 6th installment in the action spy franchise, is considered the best in the series. Why? Men’s Health wrote: “if only for its all-in action attitude. Face-swapping, stunt-defying, plotline-stupefying…it’s got everything that makes an MI film an MI film. Plus, Henry Cavill co-stars.”

3. “Jerry Maguire” (1996): In this romantic comedy-drama directed by Cameron Crowe, Cruise plays a sports agent who has a moral awakening and decides to start his own agency. The film earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Actor. And of course, it gave us “Show me the money!”

4. “Live Die Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow” (2014): This science fiction action film starred Cruise with Emily Blunt. It takes place in a future where Earth is under attack by a relentless alien species. It’s one of Cruise’s most vulnerable roles because his character isn’t a professional when it comes to combat.

5. “A Few Good Men” (1992): This legal drama stars Cruise as a military lawyer who defends 2 Marines accused of murder. The ensemble cast includes Jack Nicholson and Demi Moore. Cruise’s performance and the iconic courtroom scene, where Nicholson delivers the famous line “You can’t handle the truth!”, are particularly memorable. The film scored 4 Oscar nods.
