Three men in Chicago, Illinois were charged for allegedly selling laced pot that can cause the eyes to uncontrollably bleed. The suspects — Fouad Masoud, 48; Jad Allah, 44; and Adil Khan Mohammed, 44 — were arrested after they sold the drug, known as K2, to undercover agents at a convenience store where they are employed. Authorities said the synthetic marijuana contained rat poison and was sealed in containers labeled “Crazy Monkey” and “Matrix.” The Illinois Department of Public Health issued a warning Monday revealing the drug has caused at least 56 people to experience severe bleeding. Some sickened by the drug were reportedly sent to the hospital with blood coming from their ears, eyes and mouth. Experts said that emergency rooms have only recently started seeing these symptoms of the drug. All three men were charged with conspiring to distribute and sell a controlled substance.(https://goo.gl/1WJ1VX)

In Elizabethan England, the spoon was so novel and prized that people carried their own folding spoons to banquets.
It costs more to buy a new car today in the United States than it cost Christopher Columbus to equip and undertake three voyages to and from the New World.

Springfield, Ohio man waiting for music practice at a Presbyterian
Church had the cops called on him after someone mistook his bassoon
for a weapon. Springfield police received a 911 call shortly after
with concerns there was a man sitting on his car with a weapon.
Police responded cautiously but quickly learned there was no weapon,
just a musical instrument. Springfield police Chief Lee Graf said
that although this incident was light-hearted, it’s a reminder that
both citizens and police have a heightened awareness for the

A
decision by organizers of a Northwest Miami-Dade, Florida high school
prom to include a caged tiger and other wild animals in the event was
met with outrage and accusations of animal abuse. Some families were
not happy when they heard about the inclusion of exotic creatures at
the prom for Christopher Columbus High School students, which was
held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Miami Airport Hotel in Northwest
Miami-Dade. Marie-Christine Castellanos told 7News she was shocked
when her brother told her what he saw. She said, “This is an event
to have fun and amusement, but is torturing an animal really
considered amusement?” A spokesperson from People for the Ethical
Treatment of Animals released a statement that reads, “Wild animals
belong in the wild. When they cannot be, they belong in reputable
sanctuaries where the needs of the animals come first. They
absolutely do not need to be in a party situation.”
