After Chippewa Falls police pulled over a man for his 4th OWI, they discovered that his license plates were made out of a beer box. According to a Facebook post from the Chippewa Falls Police Department, Officer Scott Schoenwetter made an arrest for a fourth offense OWI. The registration plates on the suspect's vehicle did not match the vehicle. After looking closer at the plates, Schoenwetter discovered the plates weren't real at all. In fact, they were made of a Hamm's beer box. The suspect is yet to be formally charged. (https://bit.ly/2XKFczU)

There’s a Facebook hoax that men in white vans are kidnapping women all across the United States for sex trafficking and to sell their body parts. And it’s not helping that the mayor of Baltimore warned in a TV interview that people shouldn’t park “near a white van” because of what he saw “all over Facebook.” There’s been no real evidence of white van women snatchers in Baltimore — or anywhere else in the U.S. Earlier this year — way back in March — 20 people in France were arrested after gangs of vigilantes attacked a group of people in Paris after false reports that they were responsible for abductions in the area using white vans.

WEIRD NEWS: Brought to you by WeirdGiftOfTheDay.com
A Florida man was recently sent a parking ticket seven years after committing the violation. The city of Tampa changed its citation system and is flagging unpaid violations that might have slipped through the cracks. “The policy is wrong,” Joe Reeser, who paid a $40 violation from 2012 recently, told WFLA. “I don’t know how many other people they’re dinging on this. What’s to say that tomorrow they don’t send me something from 15 years ago?” WFLA reported that because the car he was driving was leased, the city initially sent the violation to a finance company. Many believe there should be a statute of limitations for tickets like this. (https://bit.ly/2YAdHcR)
