According to court records, an Arizona man arrested for allegedly stealing a motorcycle from a Kawasaki dealership told police he was “celebrating four months of sobriety and decided he wanted” a chopper. Investigators say that 29-year-old Jackson Hanley was actually intoxicated when he walked into a Mesa dealership earlier this month and “grabbed a Kawasaki motorcycle and began pushing it down the street.” Hanley, who rode his bicycle to Kelly’s Kawasaki, had his theft bid thwarted when a customer alerted an employee that a crime was in progress. Police were then summoned and Hanley was located about a mile away. Hanley, cops say, “admitted to stealing the motorcycle. He said he was celebrating four months of sobriety and decided he wanted a motorcycle.” Hanley reportedly said he was “going to walk it back home and try and start it there.” He was charged with felony theft in connection with the February 11th incident. A tick bite can make you allergic to red meat. Plenty of people have food allergies, but few are the result of an insect bite. In a strange and growing trend, some people who get bitten by the Lone Star tick can develop a sudden allergy to red meat. Beef, lamb, and pork (which are technically classified as red meat) can make people with this allergy experience headaches, sneezing, a runny nose, and nausea. In severe cases, it can cause the person to be unable to breathe. For some sufferers, the allergy fades over time, but for others, it's permanent.

WEIRD NEWS: Brought to you by WeirdGiftOfTheDay.com

A building in the Tarlogie compound in East Berbice, Corentyne, which formerly housed government staff in the 1980s, was completely gutted after a man tried to get rid of a snake by burning it. According to reports, the fire started after the security guard attached to the compound lit a fire in a tire that was situated close to the house. He told investigators that he saw the snake inside and wanted to “kill it.” The Guyana Chronicle understands that the small fire caught on other combustibles and old tires that were stored next to the structure. Within minutes, the fire spread to the entire building. Reports indicate that soon after lighting the fire, the man fell asleep and was awoken by the smell of smoke. When he opened his eyes, he saw the house on fire. The fire completely destroyed the house and spread to nearby empty lots with dry grass. The security guard was held for questioning and an investigation is currently underway. (https://bit.ly/2uSu75U)

MOMENT OF DUH: Brought to you by SingleStudentLoan.com
A new driver in China crashed his car into a river while texting friends ten minutes after passing his driving test. The inexperienced motorist was reading text messages from friends congratulating him on passing his exam when he took his eyes off the road. The driver, identified by local media as Mr. Zhang, makes a wrong turn onto a bridge when behind the wheel in the city of Zunyi, located in the southern Chinese province of Guizhou. Footage from the incident sees the white vehicle swerve in order to avoid two people walking on the bridge. The car can be seen flying into the air, before submerging into the icy water. Thankfully, Zhang was able to escape his car before it sunk, but he did dislocate his shoulder in the incident. Police were able to pull the car out of the water, while a crowd of people watched on in awe. It's unclear if he will face a penalty over the incident. (https://bit.ly/2TobHDI)
