Have you ever scrolled through your partner’s text messages or emails? You’re not alone. More that a third of Americans who took part in a survey said suspicious behavior warrants electronic snooping. More women than men said it was OK to spy — 37% said spying on a significant other is acceptable if “bad behavior” is suspected. Only 29% of males agreed with that statement.

A naked woman on a midnight golf cart joyride was arrested early Saturday when she drove through a police perimeter in Florida. While officers were involved in an armed standoff with a teenager, 28-year-old Jessica Smith drove past several patrol cars while behind the wheel of a golf cart. Smith allegedly ignored a police command to depart the area and continued to approach “the target house of where the armed suspect was on the roof.” When Smith, police say, refused to exit the golf cart, she “was assisted out and handcuffed” around 12:05 AM. Smith smelled of alcohol and was “completely nude,” according to a criminal complaint charging her with obstruction, a misdemeanor. The complaint lists Smith’s home address as a residence in Roxbury, Massachusetts. Smith’s parents own a home about a mile from where she was arrested in Dunedin, a city in the Tampa Bay area. Investigators allege that Smith’s naked antics “put multiple deputies at risk for potentially getting shot at.” (https://bit.ly/3jQxMYO)

Spencer” is set for release November 5th. The biographical drama on Princess Diana starring Kristen Stewart had been expected to come out in 2022 to coincide with the 25th anniversary of Diana’s death but will now be released with an eye towards the awards season. Spencer will also premiere at the Toronto and Venice film festivals. Stewart plays the late Princess of Wales – who was born Diana Frances Spencer – in the film, which takes place over a few days over Christmas 1991 at the Queen Elizabeth’s Sandringham Estate, as Diana decides to end her marriage to Prince Charles.

Jennifer Lopez is attempting to cut ties with Alex Rodriguez for good. After wiping him from her Instagram, she’s reportedly decided that she no longer wants to be his business partner. During their 5-year run, the two joined forces for a portfolio of real estate, invested in the self-care company, Hims & Hers, and the personal training app, Fitplan. According to a source: “She will have to sell her side of the company or buy him out. She doesn’t care about how it goes down, just that she is free of the ties to him. She knows it’s [only] fair to Ben [Affleck].”

SCOOP OF THE DAY: Brought to you by BetterCreditCards.com

I read an article that said millions of phone and other gadget chargers are left in hotel and motel rooms around the world each year. Even more tragic: some 75,000 Teddy bears are left behind in hotels around the world each year.

In England a man was summoned by his wife to deal with a spider she had seen scurry behind the toilet. Not being able to reach it, the man decided to kill it by spraying it with an aerosol can. But he was unable to see whether the spray killed the spider because the bulb in the bathroom light had blown. So the man turned to a cigarette lighter to illuminate the room, but in the process ignited the aerosol fumes and caused an explosion. The blast was so strong it blew the man off his feet.

Three men trying to steal fuel from a farm in the Ukraine ended up setting fire to their own car. The trio had siphoned diesel fuel into a gas-driven vehicle. When their car would not start, they examined the fuel tank using a cigarette lighter. One click and the car burst into flames. The men escaped without injury.

In Argentina three guys stole some fertilizer. While they were there one of them spotted a cellphone. The guys couldn’t resist taking pictures of themselves. Only one problem: the phone had been set up to auto-upload photos to the cloud. Cops were able to identify and track down the crooks pretty easily.

WEIRD NEWS: Brought to you by WeirdGiftOfTheDay.com

A Florida dad was arrested after allegedly assaulting a student outside his daughter’s high school while protesting the school district’s COVID-19 mask mandate. 50-year-old Dan Bauman and his daughter, Isabel, were attempting to walk into Fort Lauderdale High School without masks when he got into an altercation with another student as he was recording video with his cellphone. Police said that a student who did not want to be recorded attempted to grab Bauman’s cellphone, and Bauman “pushed the child by the shoulder and grabbed her hand and twisted her arm in an aggressive manner.” Bauman and his daughter have been protesting the mask mandate for the past several days, but have been denied entry to the school for refusing to wear a mask. Following the alleged assault, Bauman was booked into the Broward County Jail and charged with aggravated child abuse. Bauman has previously been reported for flouting mask rules. Records show that in August 2020 officers responded to a call of an aggressive customer at a Home Depot who was wearing a pink thong over his face as a mask. A month later, he was twice refused entry to the Fort Lauderdale Police Station for not wearing a mask. He once returned wearing pink underwear on his face before leaving again when officers asked to take his temperature. (https://fxn.ws/3mJi8Aq)

MOMENT OF DUH: Brought to you by BetterResultsAdvertising.com

A South Florida driver’s attempt at getting some Sunday morning donuts took a turn for the worse when he left the drive-thru without part of his order. The driver decided to back his car up and back into the drive-thru lane when he went crashing into a window. It happened at the Dunkin’ Donuts in Plantation, Florida. Customers arriving later in the morning were not happy to see the restaurant had since been closed due to the damage. “I think it’s reckless. And as a result, I now have to find another Dunkin’ and get to work in 20 minutes,” said customer Rob Kennish. The crash happened around 4:00 a.m. Sunday as Hezekiah Orowale was behind the wheel of his Honda Accord. “It was a freak accident,” Orowale said. “I’m shocked the way it happened.” Orowale said he had just picked up a dozen assorted doughnuts at the drive-thru for his fellow church members, but as he pulled away, he realized the cashier forgot to give him a bag. Instead of driving around the whole building to go back to the drive-thru, he backed up to try to talk to her again, but due to the awkward angle, he says he misjudged the distance to the building. “I just reversed for just a second. Bam! I had the glass door shatter. I heard the screaming inside,” he said. No one was hurt in the crash and his car only sustained minor damage, but the Dunkin’ Donuts would remain closed until a technician could fix the glass.(https://bit.ly/3DNMEPH)
