New research says the reason it seems mosquitos are especially attracted to you could be your…smelly armpits. That’s why some people are so delicious to the annoying critters — while others get off scot-free, according to scientists. Mosquitos are drawn to body odor, also known as BO — and mosquitoes can find us from 350 feet away once they get a whiff. In the study, BO was a more attractive bait than CO2, which is a known cue for mosquitoes.

Owners of new Ford vehicles will be able to tune in to AM radio in their cars, trucks and SUVs after all. CEO Jim Farley announced Tuesday that the automaker is reversing its plan to remove AM radio from vehicles, both electric and gasoline operated, in 2024. On social media, he wrote: “After speaking with policy leaders about the importance of AM broadcast radio as a part of the emergency alert system, we’ve decided to include it on all 2024 Ford & Lincoln vehicles. For any owners of Ford EVs without AM broadcast capability, we’ll offer a software update.” LINK:

Big Brother’s motto has always been “expect the unexpected,” and there are 2 surprises coming for viewers of the show. CBS has announced there will be a completely new cast, and a delayed premiere date. Unlike the past 2 seasons of the show, which premiered the first week of July, season 25 will not premiere until almost a full month later, on August 2. CBS also revealed: “In a special 90-minute episode, Big Brother premieres its milestone 25th season as a group of all-new Houseguests moves into the Big Brother House.” Many had assumed that the landmark 25th season of the show would feature returning “all-stars”.

Vin Diesel says spinoffs of the “Fast & Furious” franchise are already in the works, including a female-led installment. Speaking at the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project Block Party, he revealed that he started developing the female spinoff “in 2017 with other spinoffs, and the sooner I deliver the finale, the sooner I can launch all the spinoffs.” “Fast X” is supposedly the first of a 2-part ending, but in a recent interview, he teased that the ending might be spread out over 3 films.

He’s back! Arnold Schwarzenegger has accepted the position of Netflix’s CAO — Chief Action Officer. A press release from the streamer says: “Arnold is working around the clock to bring you the most explosive series and films on earth! Get ready for a hard-hitting roller coaster ride as Netflix cranks its action slate into the next gear.” In a promo video, Arnold pulls up to the streaming service’s headquarters in an army tank, and says: “No one loves action as much as I do. That’s why I’ve accepted a big new job as Netflix’s Chief Action Officer.”

Miracle drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy — which have recently exploded in popularity for their incredible weight loss side effects — may also quell be an “accidental” treatment for addiction, some experts say. Patients who have taken these type 2 diabetes treatments have reported that they compel them to better control their impulses — especially when it comes to buying and eating junk food. And Tulane University has also observed that for some, it makes “people want to drink less alcohol.” North Carolina researchers are now looking into whether drugs like these could be prescribed to suppress the urges to drink and smoke.

I may have just found a dream job for like, almost everyone I know. A company is offering to pay 3 people $100 per hour to watch TikTok – for 10 hours straight. Ubiquitous, an Influencer marketing agency, is hoping this will assist it in gauging emerging trends online. To apply for the TikTok Watching job, subscribe to the company’s YouTube channel, and send a message, telling them why you’re the best person for the job. Ubiquitous says it is looking for people 18 and older who are very familiar with how the platform works – particularly trends. After the watching session, participants will be asked to post their experience on any social media platform, and tag the company.

In China, thieves stopped a truck as it was leaving a tech factory. They threatened the driver and hijacked the truck, getting away with millions of dollars worth of phone parts. Unfortunately, they were parts for several different types of phones and didn’t all fit together. And, worst of all, it was a truckload of broken parts, which were being taken to a recycling facility.

(According to a survey of 10 “expert” websites…)
