Everyone makes mistakes from time to time, but a study has found that if typos and grammatical errors REALLY bug you, you are more likely to be an introvert. The study, conducted by linguists at the University of Michigan, found that introverts were more likely to be annoyed by typos and grammatical mistakes than extroverts, and what’s more, introverts rated those who make such errors regularly as “poor roommate material”.

Lorne Michaels and his team are preparing to mark a half-century of “Saturday Night Live” in 2024 — a celebration that will include a night of nostalgia and SNL folklore at Radio City Music Hall. Speaking at Cannes Lions Festival during an event to mark the late-night comedy phenomenon, he said the 50th anniversary celebrations will kick off as part of NBC’s coverage of the Paris Olympics next summer. Of the Radio City celebration, Michaels said: “You’ll see bands that have left a mark on the show, and stand-ups that were part of it from the beginning or relatively recent”, and there are “some documentaries being made.”

Indiana Jones” fans haven’t seen Harrison Ford as the fedora-wearing archaeologist since 2008’s “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.” The final installment to include Ford, who is 80, “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” comes out June 30. In a recent interview, he explained why there’s a 15-year gap between the 4th and 5th films. Quote: “Well, it wasn’t as though we sat around for 10 years waiting to come up with an idea. When we finished the last film, I don’t think anybody thought about going and doing another film for some time.” That lag could also be attributed to “Crystal Skull’s” not-so-good reviews. Ford said that while “there were some interesting ideas that were floated” over the last few years, producers weren’t too keen on them, “And then we found an idea, and a script, and a strong story that we wanted to tell.”

Magnum P.I.’s” reprieve at NBC is coming to an end. The network has opted not to order additional episodes beyond the 20-episode 5th season picked up last year. The now final season has already aired its first 10 episodes, with the remaining 10 scheduled for 2024. The series, which stars Jay Fernandez, was picked up by NBC after being canceled by original network CBS in May 2022. The show is a reboot of the 1980s drama starring Tom Selleck, which ran for 8 seasons in the 1980s.

SCOOP OF THE DAY: Brought to you by BetterCreditCards.com

Did you know that dancing has been proven to make you smarter and healthier? It’s true!

Domino’s says it can deliver you a pizza – even without an address. The pizza chain is launching “anywhere” delivery through its app, which lets customers get their food by dropping a pin on the map. The service, called Pinpoint Delivery, is ideal for the “start of summer,” the company says, because people are heading to the beaches and parks where the exact address could be difficult to specify. After dropping a pin on a map, customers can track their order and view their driver’s location with GPS and get text alerts about their delivery. Once the delivery person arrives, the service activates a “visual signal” on their phone that helps them locate the customer.

FUN FACT FOR YOU:
Share this with your friends... they'll think you're really smart!

WEIRD NEWS: Brought to you by WeirdGiftOfTheDay.com

In an effort aimed at encouraging people to get off their devices and enjoy all it has to offer, an island in Finland has declared itself “phone-free”. Visitors to the Ulko-Tammio Island off Finland’s southeast coastline, are being asked to keep their noses out of their phones this summer, in a move to encourage them to not only “unplug and unwind”, but to enjoy all the beauty the islands have to offer. Officials hope the push to “digitally fast” will not only take off on Ulko-Tammio, but in other tourist destinations as well. Summer months on the uninhabited island offer warm temperatures ideal for hiking and camping, and rare birds and plants can be observed. Compliance with the “no phones” directive is purely voluntary and mobile connections are still available — meaning cellphones can be used in case of an emergency.

HOW TO KEEP YOUR BED COOL THIS SUMMER: (PART TWO)

Go all Willie Nelson: If all else fails, wet a bandana in cold water, wring it out, fold it into a rectangle, and drape it over your neck. Having something cool close to your major blood vessels will help cool your whole body.

The big fan: If you have a ceiling fan, make sure you’ve switched it to its “summer” setting — counter-clockwise.

Hydrate: Drink a glass of cool, refreshing water. Even though you may have to get up in the middle of the night to ‘unhydrate’, it’s way better than waking up all warm, headachy and dehydrated.
