Gen Z are the worst restaurant tippers, according to a study. The younger generation was found to clench their wallet the tightest when it comes to adding gratuities for service workers. The survey, conducted by Bankrate, found that the tendency to tip correlates with increased age. Gen Zers are the least likely to give extra cash to waitstaff, hairdressers and other service employees while baby boomers are the most likely. Just 35% of Gen Zers said they always tip when they eat at a sit-down restaurant — compared to 83% of baby boomers. Millennials were somewhere in the middle. But interestingly, one category where Gen Zers appear to be the most generous generation, is for home services or repairs.

Netflix has changed how it measures its top shows and movies. And using the new metrics, the Jenna Ortega-hit “Wednesday” has overtaken “Stranger Things 4” for the first time when it comes viewership. Netflix will now rank its titles based on total views, which means total hours watched divided by a project’s runtime. Those 2 shows are now followed by “Dahmer: Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” (115.6 million views), “Bridgerton” Season 1 (113.3 million views) and “The Queen’s Gambit” (112.8 million views). Previously, the streamer ranked its top shows and movies based on total hours watched. “Squid Game” still ranks #1 across all English and non-English shows and movies with 265.2 million views.

Billy Crystal, Bee Gees member Barry Gibb, rapper/actress Queen Latifah, and singers Dionne Warwick and RenĂ©e Fleming will receive the 46th Kennedy Center Honors for lifetime artistic achievements. On Dec. 3, the group will be recognized in a star-studded celebration on the Kennedy Center Opera House stage by leading performers from from New York, Hollywood and the arts capitals of the world. Crystal said he is “overwhelmed to be part of this fantastic group of artists.”

It’s time to head back to “Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom”! Amid the writers’ strike, NBC has ordered a new iteration of the iconic wildlife show. The new series will be hosted by Peter Gros, former host of the original series, who is also a wildlife expert. “Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom: Protecting the Wild” is set to premiere on October 7 as part of NBC’s “The More You Know” programming block. Wild Kingdom premiered in 1963 on NBC, and ran until 1988. It was revived in 2002 by Animal Planet, and ran through 2011.

An inmate in Bangladesh has had his murder sentence reduced by 4 years as a thank you…for killing 26 people during his time in prison. In 1991, Shahjahan Bhuiyan was sentenced to 42 years for murder, but he served 4 years and 4 months less — by carrying out executions of 26 fellow inmates at the jail. Coupled with his good behavior, the 74-year-old shortened his sentence by almost a decade. Shahjahan became a hangman at Dhaka Central Prison in 2001, after informing officials that he knew how to handle a rope. Bangladesh is one of the few countries that carries out death sentences by hanging, so his skills were highly valued.

HOW TO KEEP YOUR BED COOL THIS SUMMER: (PART ONE)

Keep things cool in the day: During morning and evening, open windows to let air flow through. In afternoon, (or before you leave for work), close the windows and pull down the blinds to keep the cool air in and the hot sun out.

Make a ‘Swamp Cooler’: Spray a sheet with cold water and hang it in front of an open window. Pick a window that has a breeze coming in.

Create another: Put a bowl of ice in front of a fan.

Cool you instead of your home: If you can’t cool your home down, cool your body down with a cold shower right before bed. It can lower your body temperature enough for you to fall asleep comfortably.
