Married people tend to live longer, but maybe with an asterisk. A new study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association found that married men and women could be at a greater risk of high blood pressure — if their significant other has it too. The results were found to be most apparent among middle-aged and elderly adults, and among couples who mirror each other’s interests, lifestyle choices and habits.

The Pantone Color Institute has named “Peach Fuzz” the color of the year for 2024. The light, fruity tone conjures peace and serenity, according to the Pantene experts, who said: “We’re going through a lot of turmoil in our lives, and we have a need for a color that’s nurturing.” The Pantene team trawls through high-fashion runways, interior design trends, pop culture moments and human psychology to make their pick.

This Barbie is glad she didn’t party. Oscar winner Anne Hathaway has revealed that she feels “lucky” that her “Barbie” film never got made. In a podcast appearance, Hathaway explained: “What’s so exciting about what Greta [Gerwig] and Margot [Robbie] and that phenomenal team [did] is they hit a bullseye.” The “Devil Waers Prade” actress said that bullseye “caused the entire world to reach this level of ecstasy.” Hathaway was initially supposed to star as the iconic Mattel doll after Amy Schumer backed out, but, she says, it wouldn’t have been “the right version”. After that idea was scrapped in 2018, Robbie was cast, whom Hathaway called “sublime” in the role.

Ready for another rendezvous with the ton? Netflix has announced the return of “Bridgerton” in 2024, with the third season of the period drama streaming in 2 parts. The first 4 episodes will premiere on May 16, and the next 4 on June 13. The series will jump right into ‘Penelope’ and ‘Colin’s’ romance in Season 3, diverting from the books it’s based on. Penelope will also deal with her rift with ‘Eloise’.

It’s been more than 3 years since a “Who’s the Boss?” revival was announced, and original series star Tony Danza is still hopeful that it’s happening. He appeared on “The View” with the cast of “Taxi” for a reunion special and, of course, host Sara Haines noted that Taxi was a key factor in Danza landing his Who’s the Boss? Part. When she pressed for any updates on a reboot or sequel series, Danza admitted he’s as in the dark as the rest of us. Quote: “It’s been up in the ether for so long, I’m hoping it happens now!…I’m just waiting to hear like everybody else.”

Health experts are saying that a good diet and exercise can help cure diabetes for some people.

According to a study, having children can increase your lifespan – to a point. Researchers at the University of Michigan reviewed the health and genetic info of 276,000 people living in the UK, and found that parenting children can extend a person’s life expectancy to about 76. Those with children enjoy a 5-10% longevity advantage over childless people, and it seems that those with 2 children can expect the longest lifespan. The researchers surmised that it is possible that people with kids live longer because of the social benefits that come with having children. Previous studies have found that those with kids tend to have more social interactions, such as with other parents and teachers, “and higher social contact is known to be linked to longer life”. It was also determined that those who are genetically inclined to have more than 2 kids have lower probabilities of living to age 76.

Italian police arrested a barber for drug dealing after noticing that many of the “customers” entering his shop were bald and beardless. Cops had received reports of drug dealing in the area, and surveillance teams were dispatched. One of these teams noticed an unusually high number of bald, beardless men visiting a small barber shop. After gathering more clues, police raided the 55-year-old owner’s business and home, where hashish, cocaine, scales and drug packaging were found.
