According
to new reports, a Delta pilot who authorities suspect was boozed up
was booted off a fully boarded plane in Minneapolis and arrested.
37-year-old Gabriel Lyle Schroeder was cuffed just after 11:00 a.m.
Tuesday after police at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport
found him reeking of alcohol and with a bottle of booze on him.
Airport spokesman Patrick Hogan said Schroeder, of Rosemount,
Minnesota, left a pre-boarding TSA screening line for crew members
when he noticed that additional screening was being conducted. Hogan
said, “The individual left the line, which drew suspicion.” He
ultimately returned to the line — but officers had already reported
him to the Minneapolis Airport Police, who conducted two sobriety
checks. One found that he was under the influence of alcohol, and
results from the other are pending. Officers also found that the
pilot was in possession of a “bottle” of
alcohol.

Pi was almost legally defined as 3.2. Legislators in Indiana came close to legally redefining the value of pi—the beloved number that begins with 3.14 and continues on forever—as the much more simple 3.2. The reason for doing so is long and a bit jargony, but suffice it to say that while the bill got surprisingly far in the legislature, passing in the state’s House of Representatives, it was stopped by the time it got to the Senate.

An
11-year-old Kentucky boy suffered severe burns when his friend
pranked him as part of the viral “Hot Water Challenge” — and
now charges have been filed against the mother of the pal who
allegedly dumped scalding water on him. Billy Oliver awoke around
2:30 a.m. Tuesday to boiling water being dumped on him during a
sleepover at his friend’s house in Manchester. His mother wrote on
Facebook, “He went to sleep and woke with his friend throwing
boiling water on him laughing while my child fought to get his
clothes off.” The boy was left with burns on his neck from the
dangerous social media challenge, which involves people drinking or
pouring boiling water on themselves or someone else. Billy was
brought to the hospital then transferred to Cincinnati Burn Center,
where was treated for second- and third-degree
burns.(https://nyp.st/2SOgsnW)
