A
Holladay, Utah man has been arrested and is facing charges after
animal-control officers found twenty Burmese pythons roaming around
his residence. According to a probable cause statement filed by a
Unified police officer, the 64-year-old man sold a baby python —
which is considered an exotic animal — to an undercover officer.
After the sale, Salt Lake County Animal Services verified that the
man had no permits for either exotic or dangerous animals since 2017.
Officers served a search warrant Friday. In his home, according to
the probable cause statement, they found twenty pythons “mostly
free-roaming inside.” Ten of the snakes measured longer than ten
feet. The statement also said officers found marijuana, $2,000 in
cash and a firearm — all on the dining room table, in plain sight.
Officers also found two unmarked plastic containers full of pills,
which were later identified as opiate derivatives. The man was booked
into the Salt Lake County jail and later released under conditions
that he check in by phone weekly. (https://bit.ly/30WreOc)

If you have a net worth of $93,000 or more, you’re among the wealthiest 10 percent on the planet. To calculate your net worth, simply subtract what you owe from your total assets. So if your house is worth $200,000 and you owe $50,000 on the mortgage and another $50,000 in car, boat and RV payments, your net worth is around $100,000. If you have some savings and a 401K your net worth is more.

NEWS: Brought to you by WeirdGiftOfTheDay.com
A sword-swinging attacker slashed a man who had relieved himself on an apartment building wall in lower Manhattan. The 20-year-old victim was hanging out with four other friends when he began to urinate on a wall on Elizabeth St. at about 2:45 a.m. on Saturday. A man poked his head out of a window in the building and yelled at him to stop. Not long afterward, the man exited the building with a friend — one wielding a sword, the other brass knuckles. The pair beat and hacked at the victim — causing swelling on his face, slashing a rib and chopping his left forearm so deeply the blade touched the bone and damaged tendons. The victim also cut the fingers on his right hand when he grabbed the blade. Medics took him to Bellevue Hospital. Police arrested one of the two alleged attackers, but recovered no weapons. Maximilian Ong was arraigned Sunday on felony assault and weapon possession charges, and released on $20,000 cash bail. (https://bit.ly/2SPyXcu)

An
Alabama man arrested for camping out for days on a shuttered Disney
World island has been fined $100 and banned from the Florida theme
park for life. 42-year-old Richard McGuire pleaded no contest to a
trespassing charge under a plea agreement last week in Orange County,
Florida. Orange County Sheriff’s deputies found McGuire on Disney’s
abandoned Discovery Island in late April. He said he had planned to
camp there for a week. The man, originally from Mobile, Alabama,
said he did not hear numerous deputies searching the private island
for him on foot, by boat, and by air because he was asleep in a
building. He told the deputy he did not know it was a restricted
area, despite there being numerous “no trespassing” signs.
“Richard stated that he was unaware of that and that it looked like
a tropical paradise,” according to the arrest
report.(https://bit.ly/2IsbI6w)
