A study (University of Buffalo) found that couples who smoke weed together have a significantly lower rate of fighting and domestic violence. And their main theory why is — drum roll, please — marijuana mellows you out and makes you happy. When people are happy, they don’t fight.

A survey of adults revealed that, if what we ate didn’t matter to our health, these are the foods we’d eat all the time:

1. Pizza

2. Fried chicken

3. Spaghetti and meatballs

4. Hamburger

5. Roasted chicken

A Michigan man was arrested on Oct. 17 after driving into a ditch and being cited with operating a vehicle under the influence (OVI). At that point the man, Michael O’Neil, informed authorities that his 7-year-old daughter was at Kalahari Resort in Sandusky alone in their hotel room. Authorities called the resort where workers were able to locate the girl, found asleep in the room. In speaking to the daughter, deputies learned that O’Neil had put on a movie, told her to stay on the bed and not move and that he was going to the “adult hot tub” and would be back later. The man reportedly then went to a strip club. He told authorities he paid a stranger $40 to watch his daughter’s room while he was away. O’Neil was charged with child endangering and kept him in jail. The girl’s mother, who lives in Michigan, came to get the girl, but she was first released to child services. (https://bit.ly/37sXXid)

SCOOP OF THE DAY: Brought to you by TimeForRehab.com

While you might think delicious-looking food is pretty harmless, a review of studies suggests you’ve got it all wrong. Turns out regular exposure to virtual foods could encourage you to feast regardless of your actual hunger level. Spend too much time scrolling through a food-heavy Instagram feed and you could end up eating excess calories that contribute to weight gain.

The average person takes just 38 seconds to judge your home — and they will notice if you have vacuumed, if your windows are dirty, and if there is a ‘funny smell’.

The things we notice most when visiting a home:
The smell
The temperature
Whether or not the house have been vacuumed
How comfortable the furniture is
If the washing up is done or not
Dirty windows
The books they own
How well kept the furniture is
Color of the walls

Feel like you’re losing your hair on the job? You very well could be. A study out of South Korea claims that working longer hours can double your chances of going bald. Men who work for more than 52 hours a week lost their hair twice as fast as those who log fewer than 40 hours. Scientists chalked up their accelerated alopecia to increased stress levels caused by too much work and not enough time off.

Warm workers work better. A study (Cornell University) revealed that chilly workers not only make more errors but cooler temperatures could increase a worker’s hourly labor cost by 10 percent. When the office temperature in a month-long study increased from 68 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit, keyboard typing errors fell by 44 percent and typing output jumped 150 percent. But could you tolerate working in an office that’s 77 degrees?

An Italian man took reckless driving to a new level in 11 frantic minutes of traffic violations. Police first spotted the 47-year-old driver as he sped his SUV past an unmarked police car at 100 miles per hour in a rainstorm. Driving dangerously close to other cars, he then allegedly ignored police attempts to pull him over — first with a stop sign, and then with flashing lights and sirens. Police say the man drove through a construction zone at 87 mph before being stopped. The man racked up 15 traffic violations in 11 minutes.
