THIS WEEK'S DEAR JOHN LETTER!

Dear John,

I started dating a guy about three months ago. He's not from around here. He doesn't like to talk much about his past, so I don't know much. My mom says that's a bad sign and I should break up with him. I think he's just quiet and shy. She thinks he's wanted by the law or something. Do you think he needs to tell me about his past? It's in the past anyway. He's one of the sweetest people I've ever met. I'm falling for him big time. I was even thinking to myself before writing this message. What if he was a bad guy in the past. If he's a good guy now, isn't that all that matters? What do you think?

A Florida woman is facing felony charges after allegedly assaulting a quartet of nurses during a late-night fracas in the emergency room of a Florida hospital. According to cops, 28-year-old Roseanna Denton was brought to Pensacola’s West Florida Hospital around 12:30 a.m. Saturday by her parents for “suspected drug use and erratic behavior.” Denton’s kin told nurses that she “may have needles in her purse that could cause a hazard to hospital staff.” Denton allegedly scuffled with nursing staffers who sought to restrain her, battering four victims in the process. Denton allegedly punched, kicked, scratched, and spit on the nurses, each of whom wanted to press charges against her. Denton was arrested yesterday on four felony battery counts and booked into the Escambia County jail. Denton was released from custody in advance of a scheduled appearance in Circuit Court. Some planets produce diamond rain. Saturn and Jupiter are gas giant planets that produce a truly unique form of weather. Recently, scientists discovered that there is plenty of carbon in these atmospheres. When carbon soot gets hit by lightning, it hardens into graphite and falls downward, where the pressure of the atmosphere hardens it further, until it becomes… a diamond! Storms on these planets may literally rain diamonds as big as a centimeter across.

A Tennessee woman is facing federal charges after United States Postal Service investigators say she mailed packages containing human blood-stained feminine products and feces to her husband’s former wife. The criminal complaint from the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, filed against 37-year-old Della Marie Gibson Lathum in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, accuses Lathum of violating postal service rules by mailing the biohazardous materials. USPS rules say that material such as biological and regulated material waste are not permitted in domestic mail except when they are intended for medical or veterinary use. An arrest report says that Gibson was voluntarily interviewed in April at Parkwest Medical Center where she was employed as a registered nurse. During questioning, Gibson admitted she mailed the packages containing the feces and the letter containing the blood-stained feminine napkin to her husband’s ex-wife. Gibson told investigators she mailed the products because she wanted “the kids” to know the truth about the ex-wife, claiming that she was lazy, didn’t work and lived off the system. Gibson told investigators she, on the other hand, worked hard for everything she had. Gibson is scheduled to appear on July 28th on stalking, harassment, and vandalism charges.
