You’ve probably heard, or heard of, the Carrie Underwood song Before He Cheats. Well, a Nashville woman brought the song to life by smashing her ex-boyfriend’s pickup truck, and pouring beer on the driver’s seat. 23-year-old Makayla Fryar has been charged with vandalism, and according to the affidavit, the victim’s brother caught her in the act with the Ford F-150 parked right in front of his home. She was seen hitting the front windshield with an “unknown object.” She then hopped in the truck and destroyed the radio and dashboard, while proceeding to spill beer in the front seat.

A 7-year old boy in Tennessee learned that hard work pays off by turning his hard-earned money into one of the biggest flathead catfish catches in state history. Autry Hogan (Cumberland City) saved up his chores money to buy a new pole in preparation for a fishing trip with his dad, Joshua, grandpa Gary, and little brother Kye. Once the Hogan family hit the water, it didn’t take long for Autry to get a fish hooked on his new piece of equipment. While the first catch on a new pole is always exciting, Autry didn’t just catch any ole little bass or bluegill. He caught an 83-pound flathead catfish.

Beethoven could still hear after going deaf. Upon going deaf, Beethoven discovered that if he bit onto a metal pole that connected to the piano he was playing, he could hear almost perfectly well. This process is called bone conduction, and while technology has evolved, the science is the same: Vibrations are transferred from the conductive metal into our bones. When this happens, our ears pick up the signal with no sound distortion.

WEIRD NEWS: Brought to you by WeirdGiftOfTheDay.com

It's boiling hot in England, and many people are struggling to remain cool. No matter how hard you try, if you don't have access to a garden or a balcony, it can be hard to stay chilled in the sweltering heat. One woman, who decided to sunbathe in her flat's communal garden in a bid to stay cool, received a complaint from her disgruntled neighbor. But many flocked to show support for her - after the male resident, aged 29, posted on Reddit, describing his pretty-poor handling of the situation. The man reportedly stated, “Her lying outside half-naked makes our building look tacky, she makes it look like a university dorm. This could lead to apartments losing value.” Understandably, people weren't impressed by the man's behavior. One Redditor wrote: “Taking a picture of a woman in a bikini AND DISTRIBUTING IT is definitely more antisocial than...sunbathing where you live.” Another commented, “She's not making lots of noise, she's not destroying anything...what are you complaining about exactly?” (https://bit.ly/3izpzGB)

A California man was arrested after allegedly stealing a truck carrying two porta-potties. The owner of the truck reported its theft to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office and told them that he had located it through the onboard GPS tracker. Deputies tracked down the mobile latrine, but the driver fled. Within two minutes, he crossed a set of railroad tracks, drove over a bridge, and then dumped the car, continuing to flee by foot. Deputies, having recognized the suspect from a May arrest, circled back to his home, where they met him. Francisco Melendez, a 33-year-old man who the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office identified as “one of Fresno County’s most prolific auto thieves,” surrendered peacefully. Melendez has been charged with auto theft, receiving stolen property, evading police, obstructing a police officer, and committing a felony while on bond.(https://bit.ly/3kTQHTr)
