An accused Capitol Hill rioter was arrested after drunkenly crashing his boat while out on a booze cruise in Florida on Saturday night. 38-year-old Paul Rae was allegedly drunk when witnesses reported seeing him crash his boat into a small island at high speed around 10:00 p.m. Saturday. Deputies from the county’s Marine Unit and DUI unit responded, where they found the boat 75 feet from the water. Rae and a passenger were also found uninjured but “showing signs of impairment,” police said. Police put Rae through sobriety tests before he was taken to the Pinellas County Jail where he was booked for one count of boating under the influence. Rae was released from jail on his own recognizance shortly after 9:00 a.m. on Sunday. Rae has been out on supervised release after he was charged with knowingly entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds and corruptly obstructing official proceedings in March, according to local outlets.
