Couples who sleep apart may not only be saving their relationship, but saving their health as well, according to a survey by the Better Sleep Council. Their research found that more than 25% of couples have gone through a “sleep divorce”, where they either sleep in different rooms or in 2 beds in the same room. The older you are, the more likely you are to sleep apart, with 16% of those 55-and-older saying they sleep in separate bedrooms. That’s more than double those who are 35-54 (7%), and significantly higher than those in the 18-34 group (3%). While many believe sleeping in separate beds is a sign that a relationship is on the rocks, it’s actually the opposite. The survey found 1 in 3 people say their bed partner has a negative impact on their own sleep. Sleep deprivation is connected to health issues including diabetes, obesity, heart disease and depression, as well as irritability, poorer job satisfaction and, yes, relationship woes. The survey found that women’s sleep suffers more than men’s, because “women are more sensitive to their sleep environment.”

now, thanks to some researchers in China, it may be possible to get
it back. They have developed a patch which can prevent baldness in
both men and women. Male pattern baldness becomes permanent because
the body doesn’t have enough blood vessels surrounding the hair
follicles to deliver the necessary nutrients. The scientists came up
with a microneedle patch that stimulates the formation of new blood
vessels around the follicles, leading to hair regrowth. In tests on
mice, it led to faster hair regrowth and similar coverage in
comparison to a leading topical treatment for baldness. Topical hair
treatments also need to be applied more frequently than the
patch.

Late-night legend Conan O’Brien, “SNL” cast member Bowen Yang, “Hacks” breakout Meg Stalter, Emmy nominee X Mayo from “The Daily Show” and Nichole Sakura of “Maggie” have all joined the cast of an upcoming untitled buddy comedy from Ben Marshall, John Higgins and Martin Herlihy—the SNL comedy trio best known as ‘Please Don’t Destroy’. The recently-announced film currently in production tackles the story of 3 childhood friends who live and work together. But they decide they don’t like where their lives are headed and set off to find gold rumored to be buried in a nearby mountain. SNL‘s Paul Briganti is directing the film, which is scheduled for release next August.

A 29-year-old man has been charged with criminal aggravated trespassing after allegedly riding a school bus to Grainger County High School last year. According to the arrest report, a Grainger County Sheriff’s deputy was called to the main office at Grainger County High School. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke to Juan Purkey, who told him he had ridden a school bus to the school. The Grainger County Superintendent, James Atkins, said, “Safety is of the utmost importance.” The 29-year-old allegedly made his way to the cafeteria and was taken to the office at 8 a.m. where the deputy found him. The school was placed on a soft lockdown. Purkey is not a student at the high school, nor did he have permission from anyone to be on school property. To that, he also had no lawful purpose to be on school property during school hours. One week earlier, Purkey was informed by a deputy, and an assistant principal at the school to not be on school property since he wasn’t a student.
