I like the sound of this: Adding some milk to your morning coffee may bring along some health benefits. Two studies at the University of Copenhagen looked at how antioxidants interact with amino acids, which make up proteins. Part of the research involved combining a drink high in polyphenols – coffee – with another rich in proteins – milk. The team found that the combination of adding milk to your coffee can boost the body’s anti-inflammatory response. This anti-inflammatory effect may also occur when combining other types of food, such as a meat dish with vegetables or a smoothie with milk or yogurt. Inflammation can lead to several life-threatening illnesses, such as cancer or Type-2 diabetes.

Groundhogs are also variously referred to as woodchucks, whistle-pigs, or land-beavers. The name whistle-pig comes from the fact that, when alarmed, a groundhog will emit a high-pitched whistle as a warning to the rest of the colony. The name woodchuck has nothing to do with wood. Or chucking. It is derived from the Algonquian name for the critters, wuchak.

The Daily Show” correspondent Roy Wood Jr. is about to step onto an even bigger political stage. The White House Correspondents’ Association has announced that the comedian will be the headlining entertainer for its 2023 dinner, set to be held at the Washington Hilton on April 29. Wood Jr. said in a statement: “It will be a great night that will go down in the history books, or not, depending on which state you live in.”

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck planned to renovate her Bel-Air home after getting married, but they’ve pulled the plug on that plan, and now she’s selling — with the prospect of an eye-popping profit. J Lo has just listed her home for $42.5 million. Here’s the kicker: She bought the place in 2016 from Sela Ward – for $28 million. The estate is almost 8 acres, a huge property for the area. The main house is more than 12,000 square feet, with 9 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms. Ben and Jen have been looking for a home for well over a year, and are reportedly currently staying in a rental.

Dr. Frasier Crane’ is taking his talents back to Boston. Paramount+ unveiled new details about the upcoming “Frasier” revival starring Kelsey Grammer as production began this week. In the new series, Frasier returns to Boston (where “Cheers” was set) to face new challenges, start new relationships and try to fulfill his old dreams. Grammer is the only original cast member in the main cast for the new series. Jack Cutmore-Scott plays Frasier’s now-adult son ‘Freddy’ while Nicholas Lyndhurst plays Frasier’s old college friend ‘Alan’. Anders Keith plays Frasier’s nephew ‘David’, the son of ‘Niles’ (David Hyde Pierce) and ‘Daphne’ (Jane Leeves).

SCOOP OF THE DAY: Brought to you by BetterCreditCards.com

This year, Americans will shell out $192.80, on average, on candy, cards, flowers and other gifts for friends, loved ones, classmates and even coworkers for Valentine’s Day, according to a report from the National Retail Council. That’s up about $17 from last year. Those in a relationship will spend roughly $187 for their significant other, according to a separate survey. That’s despite the fact that many Americans are already going into more debt just to afford their day-to-day expenses as prices rise. 27% said they’ll need to rely on credit cards to cover Valentine’s Day costs. Another survey found Canadians plan to spend about $104 on their Valentine.

Walmart has a little something special for those who have a “not-so-significant other” this Valentine’s Day. The retailer is selling a stuffed teddy bear holding a ‘broken in 2’ heart that says “LOVE”, and the little guy is also wearing a shirt that says: “Bye bye!” The 9-inch-tall stuffed animal, which also dances on demand, is named the “Way To Celebrate!” bear — even though the recipient might not really feel like celebrating. The brown bear dances to the *NSYNC hit song ‘Bye Bye Bye’ when its foot is pressed. The Way to Celebrate! bear is selling for $16.98. LINK: https://tinyurl.com/ycyhjpux
