I definitely hope you have something to celebrate this weekend – because according to new research, it’s good for your health. A paper published in the Journal of Public Policy & Marketing says that in order for your celebration to bring health benefits, it requires these 3 components: 1) gathering with other people; 2) having food and drink; and 3) highlighting an important milestone. The peer-reviewed publication says that celebrations reinforce our social support and provide reassurance to us that we have a social network for when adversity strikes. The lead author said they found that “Buying yourself a congratulatory gift to celebrate an accomplishment just isn’t the same as celebrating with a dinner and drinks with friends.” And the celebrations don’t need to be extravagant to be beneficial. It just needs to mark the occasion with food or drink and the company of others.

A man who has become famous for making 15 consecutive incorrect Super Bowl picks has unveiled his prediction for this Sunday’s big game. It seems impossible, but he has the receipts. It began in 2008 with one of the NFL’s biggest upsets. Reddit user “im_THIS_guy” says he put “a ton of money on the 18-0 Patriots to beat the Giants (they lost).” Since then, he says he has “lost more money than I can count betting Super Bowl money lines.” His prediction for 2023: “The PHILADELPHIA EAGLES will win the Super Bowl… This game is a no brainer. Do Not Overthink It. Bet the better team.” He plans to “win back a sizable portion” of his losses from the past 15 years with his latest Super Bowl pick. (Thanks for the warning!) Dr. Phil McGraw announced on Tuesday that his syndicated talk show “Dr. Phil” will end with its current 21st season. In a statement, he said: “I have been blessed with over 25 wonderful years in daytime television. With this show, we have helped thousands of guests and millions of viewers through everything from addiction and marriage to mental wellness and raising children. This has been an incredible chapter of my life and career, but while I’m moving on from daytime, there is so much more I wish to do.” McGraw plans to launch primetime programming sometime in 2024.

Following years of rumors and speculation, “King of the Hill” is officially getting the reboot treatment at Hulu. Show creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels have inked a deal to revive the popular series, which originally ran on Fox for 13 seasons starting in 1997. The new episodes will feature original voice actors Kathy Najimy, Stephen Root, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick and Lauren Tom reprising the roles of their animated characters. The reboot is expected to arrive on the streaming service sometime this year.

Get ready, because the Stallones are going all “Kardashian” on us. Paramount+ has announced “The Family Stallone,” which will follow Sylvester Stallone, wife Jennifer Flavin Stallone and daughters Sophia, Sistine and Scarlet. The show’s synopsis says: “While he’s the man, the myth and the legend to the world, Stallone is simply known as “Dad” to his daughters. While he headlines box office smash hits, at home he is focused on building for the future and raising 3 independent and ambitious women. The series will also explore Jennifer’s entrepreneurship…she is the co-owner of the wellness brand Serious Skin Care.” The 8-part reality series will debut on the streaming service this spring. A German dog trainer has set the world record for most dogs in a conga line. Guinness says Wolfgang Lauenburger’s 14 canines arranged themselves into the dance formation with his help back in August. The record was certified last week. Because we believe in giving credit where it is due, the record-breaking conga dogs are Bibi, Cathy, Charly, Elvis, Emma, Filou, Fin, Jennifer, Katie, Maya, Simon, Speck, Susy, and Ulf. Lauenburger has set multiple world records, including most skips by a dog on hind legs in 30 seconds and most rollovers by a dog in one minute. LINK: https://tinyurl.com/3uuscehj
