A Canadian study has found that smoking weed is more harmful than smoking tobacco. Researchers from University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital evaluated chest scans of marijuana smokers, non-smokers and tobacco-only smokers over age 50. They determined that 75% of cannabis smokers had emphysema — compared to 67% of heavy tobacco smokers and just 5% of non-smokers. The scientists say that “may be due to the…fact that marijuana smoke enters the lungs unfiltered.”

Alec Baldwin’s “Rust” is officially set to resume production this spring, over a year after cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed in an on-set shooting. Rust Movie Productions said in a press release that director Joel Souza, who was injured in the shooting, is among at least 4 original crew members who will return to complete the film. Hutchins’ widower Matthew will serve as an executive producer. And cinematographer Bianca Cline will work in Hutchins’ place and donate her salary to charity in her name. There will be no working weapons or ammunition allowed on set.

In the first major casting announcement for “Deadpool 3” aside from the 2 leads, “The Crown” breakout Emma Corrin is set to star opposite Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Reynolds announced Corrin’s casting on Twitter, writing: “New addition to the family! The Deadpool family, for clarity. Which is just like a real family except with less swearing. Welcome, Emma Corrin!” No word on what character Corrin will play. Corrin played ‘Lady Diana Spencer’ in Season 4 of the Netflix’s “The Crown.”

The career of John Madden will be the subject of a limited series. The series, to be directed by Gavin O’Connor, with the involvement of Tom Brady’s 199 Productions, will chronicle the life and career of the NFL icon and his rise from humble beginnings to leave an indelible mark on football, broadcasting, video games, and pop culture. Brady’s presence as Executive Producer was particularly important to Madden’s family as they committed to the project. The filmmakers say they will find a broadcast partner once they’ve finished the scripted episodes — and then find someone to play the larger-than-life Madden.

Pepsi is bringing back its Peeps-flavored soda, and promises this time, it’ll be easier to find than an Easter egg. For the first time, “Pepsi x Peeps” is available for sale at retailers in the US, a change from its debut 2 years ago, when only a few thousand of the sodas were given away in a contest. At that time, it became an online trend, prompting people to resell the novelty product for hundreds of dollars. The drink mixes the taste of Pepsi with the “pillowy-soft and sweet” marshmallow flavor of Peeps.
