THIS WEEK'S DEAR JOHN LETTER!

Dear John,

I'm thinking about breaking up with my girlfriend but my best friend says I'm being petty. She insulted me and I just can't get past it. She has a few tattoos, including the first name of her old boyfriend. It was her first boyfriend and they were close for a while. But we've been dating for over a year and every time we're intimate, I see "Jason" in big bold letters. And inside a HEART. So I brought it up casually and she got angry. Then she shut down the conversation, saying, "What's the big deal? I don't really think about it. Or him. You have nothing to worry about." I told her it was hard for me not to think about it, seeing as it's right there every time we're passionate! I offered to pay for laser removal or have it changed into something else, but she just blew me off. She said, "I was young and in love . . . and that's all there is to it". That's the problem. She WAS in love, but is she is not in love NOW? I'm sick of it. What can I do to get her to have it removed? And am I overreacting if I leave her because of it? This is the only reason I have not asked her to marry me. It's driving me crazy! What do I do?

NBC renewed 6 shows for next season, including “Chicago Fire”, “Chicago P.D.”, “Chicago Med”, and 3 “Law and Order” series. Apparently, the renewals came with an asterisk, as casts were told that they will appear in fewer episodes next year. That comes on the heels of CBS recently renewing “Blue Bloods” for a 14th season after the cast agreed to a 25% pay cut. And now, we’re finding out that the cast of another recently renewed CBS series, the comedy “Bob Hearts Abishola”, also had to agree to a double-digit salary reduction for the show to get a Season 5 renewal.

Yellowstone” is ending after months of turmoil behind the scenes. The New York Post says the Paramount Network drama’s offscreen drama has ultimately led to the show’s demise at the end of Season 5, which is currently in production. One source is quoted as saying: “Hopefully Kevin (Costner) will return for the remaining episodes, if everyone works together, but it looks like Yellowstone will end after this season.” As multiple reports have noted, Yellowstone’s trouble stems from a disagreement between Costner and the show’s creative mastermind Taylor Sheridan. Costner was allegedly not happy with his shooting schedule, and Sheridan is said to have become tired of the actor holding up production.

Here’s the latest intel on the fate of “Yellowstone”: ‘John Dutton’ will die in the second half of Season 5, but the show will go on. Showbiz411 reports that producers are figuring out a way to wrap Kevin Costner’s iconic character, and they’re planning to give him a sendoff like ‘Logan Roy’ in “Succession”. That doesn’t mean John Dutton will have a heart attack, but according to the sources, Costner’s character will die early into the new episodes, with the remainder of Season 5 playing out the repercussions from his death.

Yellowstone” has seen a lot of headlines lately due to its behind-the-scenes drama, with reports of strife between star Kevin Costner and series creator Taylor Sheridan. Now, the Daily Mail is reporting that Sheridan is the one to blame for the feud due to his alleged “God complex.” A source says Costner felt dismissed and told to stick to acting when he raised certain concerns with Sheridan that the show was “headed in a direction that was not in line with their initial vision.”

The Late Late Show with James Corden” has set its guests for its final broadcast. Harry Styles and Will Ferrell will join Corden for the show’s last episode on April 27, wrapping up the CBS late-night series’ 8-year run. Ben Affleck, Bryan Cranston, Tom Cruise, Josh Gad, Jennifer Garner, Brett Goldstein, Kate Hudson, Allison Janney, the Kardashian family, Mila Kunis, Seth Meyers, Billy Porter and Sharon Stone are among the show’s guests joining Corden in the final 2 weeks. During one of Styles’ early appearances on the show in 2015, he lost a game of “Tattoo Roulette” and received a tattoo of the show’s logo on his arm.

A website just ranked the top 20 revenge songs of all time.

This Friday is Arbor Day.

This has been getting a fair bit of attention since it was announced, but I wanted to chime in on it. McDonald’s is making improvements to its “big-5” burgers – the Big Mac, McDouble burger, cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, and hamburger. The fast-food giant says the McUpgrades include “softer, pillowy” golden-brown buns, gooier cheese, and a “juicier, caramelized” taste, as onions will be placed on patties while they’re still on the grill. In addition, the Big Mac will feature more of its signature sauce. The updated recipe is currently being offered on the US West Coast in places like LA, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Seattle, among other cities. By early 2024, the upgrades will be available nationwide. The changes were first tested in Canada, Australia and Belgium, where McDonald’s said they received “rave reviews.”

A Chinese couple visiting South Korea took revenge on the Airbnb host who refused to cancel their booking by using over 120 tons of water as well as thousands of dollars worth of gas, electricity and other utilities. At first, owner noticed nothing out of the ordinary about his guests, other than them asking him if there were any surveillance cameras. Little did he know that they were plotting their revenge. It was only after their 25-day booking had ended that the gas company contacted the owner about the sharp increase in consumption, leaving him to cover massive utility bills. He later learned that the couple had used enough water for 8 adults to use for 2 months, plus huge amounts of electricity.

HOW TO STOP SNORING:

People who snore are twice as likely to suffer a stroke, according to a recent study from the University of Galway in Ireland. With that in mind, here are 5 suggestions to help you stop:

1. Avoid alcohol: Boozy nights out often lead to sleepless, snore-filled slumber. Alcohol has a sedative effect, which relaxes the jaw and throat muscles, making an obstruction in your airway more likely.

2. Sleep on your side: Doing so, rather than your back, can prevent the base of your tongue collapsing into the back wall of your throat.

3. Try a snoring pillow: Sleeping on a pillow which sufficiently supports your head and neck can help, as it can prevent your airways becoming blocked.

4. Stay within a healthy weight range: Excess fatty tissue around the neck and poor muscle tone can contribute to the problem. Taking steps to reduce excess pounds can help keep you from honking in the night.

5. Keep a sleep diary: This can help identify what factors are helping and hindering your sleep and snoring. Keep track of sleep times, how many times you wake in the night, the food and drink you’ve consumed throughout, screen time, and activity. After a month, you’ll be able to see any trends that may affect your snoring or restfulness.
