A Florida man was arrested Friday night after he shot a flare gun multiple times at two people who were trying to serve civil process/legal papers. 79-year-old William Nash was eventually arrested. A 75-year-old woman, Carole Harwood, was also arrested for resisting arrest. Deputies responded to a home at about 8:20 p.m. about a shots fired call. Monroe County deputies said they arrived and found Harwood yelling at a man who said he and another woman were trying to serve legal papers at the home. The man said Harwood charged at him and fell down before deputies arrived. Monroe County deputies said Harwood refused to follow orders and pulled away when they tried to detain her. Nash came down the stairs with his arms raised, Monroe County deputies said. He admitted to shooting at the man with a flare gun and that he'd been drinking earlier that night. FUN FACT FOR YOU:Share this with your friends... they'll think you're really smart!

It's a myth that people are either "left-brained" or "right-brained." You may have been told at some point in your life that you're either left-brained or right-brained. The story goes that "people who are left brain dominant are more quantitative, logical, and analytical, while right-brained individuals are more emotional, intuitive, and creative free spirits," writes Psychology Today. However, this theory isn't true. "On the contrary, most behaviors and abilities require the right and left sides of the brain to work together to achieve a common objective," the website explains. So while you may have certain qualities and characteristics that define you who are, they have nothing to do with which side of your brain you use more. You can thank both sides of your noggin for contributing to your unique personality.

When it came to disguises, they kept an open rind. A pair of shoplifters wore hollowed-out watermelons on their heads while stealing from a convenience store in Virginia. Surveillance cameras caught the seedy characters roaming around a Sheetz store around 9:30 p.m. on May 6th, wearing the melons with cut-out eye-holes as masks, the Louisa Police Department said on Saturday. Cops in Louisa, a town about 100 miles from Washington D.C., on Sunday said an arrest had been made in connection with the melon-drama, but didn’t immediately provide additional details. It is unknown what the suspects stole, or how much money they made off with. (https://bit.ly/2TijItf)

MOMENT OF DUH: Brought to you by InsuranceChicken.com

During an argument in their Florida home, a man threw a piece of raw chicken at his wife, striking her in the head, according to police who arrested the alleged poultry pelter for battery. Cops charge that 34-year-old Thomas Reece and the victim got into a “verbal argument over a family issue” Friday evening at their St. Petersburg residence. As detailed in an arrest affidavit, Reece “got mad, took a piece of raw chicken, and threw it at” his 34-year-old spouse. The chicken struck the woman in the back of the head. Reece’s wife subsequently gathered up his clothes in a laundry basket and placed them by the front door, “telling him he had to leave.” Reece then tossed the basket across the room, striking his wife with the container, cops allege. He was arrested for domestic battery and booked into the county jail on the misdemeanor count. Reece, who was released on his own recognizance yesterday afternoon, has been ordered by a judge to have no contact with his wife. (https://bit.ly/3dWbI9b)
